    Hello everyone,
I have a 31k tattoo/babe account and feel I've made a mistake in niche. I think my followers are a mixture of pervs/Spanish.. Good engagement I think though of 7-10%

Well I rushed into that account because I just wanted to get started but now I want to make two new accounts and properly know how and when to monetize. I can grow accounts that's fine but wouldn't mind your suggestions into what niche. Thanks!

    Hi,
I don't think the niche really matter. It's more about "how to monetize" .

Niches matter a lot. It decides the potential account size and the market demands for potential business opportunities. For the same amount of input, we definitely need the maximum return.

Competitive niches such as fitness, health, fashion etc. are always the best. However, if we donot learn and outperform our competitors, we would suffer more. But as long as we are the top players, we bank more.

    Make a website with ads
    Survey giveaways
    Shoutouts
    Affiliate
    Sell my own products

How to monetize isn't really the problem it's what niche.. I think niche does matter because some audiences will be more rich/willing to open their wallets than others

I'd rather have a medium sized company in a huge niche than a large company in a small niche. There is more room to grow in a large niche than a small niche & hence a chance to increase revenues year to year.

I agree.. I know them niches arent saturated but I believe they'd be too hard to grow as there are too many accounts in the same niche and people are more likely to trust a 1M account over 10k.. But you are suggesting the most overcrowded as the most profitable?

    How targeted would you suggest?

Animals-dogs-pitbull-pitbull puppies-black pitbull puppies.. Where would you stop?

Generally, yes, the most crowed niches are the most profitable. That's why everybody wants to do it. Trustness is something you need to build yourself. Some big accounts with over millions are not necessarily authoritative. Some of them look very spamming.

I think as you get more specific the competition is lower, & there would be less of a market and in turn less chance to grow.

I would say that is up to you, & what you are trying to sell, if you are going to be selling specifically for pitbull dogs, then it would make sense to have that as the most general search you would have. If you are dealing with other dogs then you could do dogs, but it would make more sense to focus on the breed.

I think you shouldn't quit so fast, how much time that account have?. Do you really STOP & THINK how to monetize it?. I would recommend you to try a little more before to change to another niche. .

But in general, the average instagramer wouldnt probably think of anything like that.. Would see the 'M' and automatically assume they're legit and trustworthy.

There surely must be just as much potential in other niches than just health/fitness/fashion..

Surely you wouldn't start monetizing until a certain amount (definitely 10k+) and for every niche you could think of there will always be products to sell so I'm thinking you wouldn't think of specific products whilst making the account?

What have you guys found money in?

I'm not saying you sell right away, im just saying you want to have a goal for monetizing. If you will be aiming at a certain dog your market will be more specific and it will be easier to sell to people who like pitbulls vs just dog lovers when trying to sell pitbull related items or traffic. Makes the traffic a lot higher quality.

Ah yeah I get you, Thanks for that.. Think I'll just make 2 accounts based on things I like. (obviously do some research into them both and check potential competitors)

You're welcome, good luck with your two accounts.
