Hey guys, been lurking here for a while, thought I'd try and jump in. Little about me, I just sold off most of my successful adult sites and my adult affiliate program and want to get into mainstream more. I ran successful adult sponsor program for 7 years, been an adult webmaster since 1997 and have always made a good living there, but the way the adult market is shaping up there's no room for 1 man shows anymore.

Unfortunately I chose to run an affiliate program and build up affiliates as a way of making my income, which worked great, however that left me with a serious lack of understanding for creating my own large traffic streams and modern SEO/Marketing practices. So I'm starting fresh in non-adult and trying to teach myself how to make money without showing a single nipple as hard as that seems to me.

I already have a decent income coming from a content locker site, however I bought the site and can't really re-produce the success of the site on my own, the previous owner basically used youtube traffic to feed the site using some sneaky scripts that I have to learn how to use.

Anyways, I'll be here lurking and trying to participate, hope to learn something and replace my porn income with some more mainstream cash!

Welcome! What was your adult affiliate program? I was in celebrity adult stuff back in the late 90's also. That was when you could advertise on Google for the Paris Hilton Sex Tape and link it directly to your affiliate site! Now google is just a robotic corporate monster that doesn't care about small business.

    Welcome, David!

I still work in adult but I'm here transitioning to mainstream too. It's not so bad. Only drawback is I see less porn each day (which sucks . . . excuse the pun). I won't ask which aff proggy - since I expect you want to keep that quiet - but I may have promoted you.

    Best of luck!

Yeah, stil have non disclosure agreement till they announce the purchase so I can't say the name but if you don't reckognize part of my nick, you probably haven't used my old program... we'll see. You would definitely recognize the company that bought my program though.

Believe it or not, I'm so glad I don't have to sit here and photoshop ingrown hairs off vaj's all day and edit all the naked people videos... so sick of naked people lol! Being in the biz 15 years almost kind of desensitized me to the whole thing, looking forward to the day I can watch a video and get off on it!

    Ohhhhhhhhhh . . . now I know! Starts with R.

Hahaha to getting off on porn. I think I realized I was desensitized when a friend sent me a link to 2 Girls 1 Cup and I watched it while eating my breakfast. It would have made the WORST youtube reaction video.

Well, I'm sure you'll do great in mainstream. All the best of luck to you. :)
