Hello. I just read an article saying that next January google will release a new update.
In this update sites with too many adssense and/or invasive adsense (like popunder/popup) will get a drop on SERP.
Is this update confirmed? Or it's just a rumor?

There certainly will be some sort of update in january, Google is doing hundreds a year. If you want an educated guess: With PBNs being the most effective way to rank sites and mass spam becoming less and less effective for quite a time now, improved PBN detection will be a huge focus in 2017 for sure.

Additionally, another EMD update could be coming next year, see https://www.seroundtable.com/google-spammy-exact-match-domains-23044.html

As far as invasive ads are concerned, interstitials (the annoying overlays you often can't close, especially on mobile devices) are something on their hit list. Maybe that's the update you are referring to, they set 01/10/2017 as launch date for a new algorithms demoting sites using interstitials that make sites less accessible https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2016/08/helping-users-easily-access-content-on.html

Thank you. So basically sites with popup/popunder will just one one bad signal over hundreads... so basically if I continue to use popups on one of my site then I shouldn't see mass drop right? Maybe just few position
