Just got this in my email, thought it worth a share;)

"Remaining compliant with our AdSense programme policies is essential for every publisher. To help you quickly understand and address any potential policy issues with your account, we'll be gradually rolling out a new policy notifications feature directly in your AdSense account.

If our system detects a policy violation, you'll now receive a notification in your account, in addition to an email. You can also find more details and steps to resolve the violation under the Policy violations section on the Home tab. "

So now they warn you if you break there rules, don't know if its new or BS. Anyway hope it helps those with Adsense accounts.

I think they are finally realizing that it's not good business to ban publishers whenever they feel like it.

It's crazy, but even as big as Google is, good business is good business, and not following good business practices will have long-term negative ramifications especially with an increase in competition or a downturn in revenue/profits.

Whenever any company, country, civilization, empire or whatever gets too arrogant it inevitably leads to their downfall no matter how big they are (think Roman Empire etc)

1/4 of Google's earnings come from AdSense publishers according to their latest filings....looks like webmasters aren't so disposable anymore.

They could still suspend your account or something while you are "under review" for "rule violation" though. Guess we'll have to wait a little longer to see what they actually meant.

Edit: I noticed on another thread that this probably meant that they would give you a more specific reason as to why you were banned, instead of just suspending you and giving you another chance as I had hoped. My bad.

G also has shareholders to answer to so kicking off webmasters on there Ad$ense program may in theory reduce there profit margin based on Barts post, and I suspect they have some err greedy nay demanding shareholders;)

This is really good news. I've only had 1 adsense account banned in the last 4 years or so back when I was noob and did stupid things to get myself banned. Hopefully we won't be seeing anymore of those "Why did Adsense ban me threads" :D

The way I see it, Google will continue suspending you arbitrarily, it's just they will provide a "good" reason other than: "we cannot further elaborate bla bla bla"
