Hey guys! I wanted to share ma deconstruction of his funnel and what I would've added to make it more effective. It's a mix of nice Copywriting and classic Persuasion.
1) Announcement/News + Curiosity (“hiring people and teaching the copywriting secrets…): Story + Vakog + what I call "Mind Dream Printing” (imagine going to Italy for 7 weeks/ making extra 15k/month from your laptop…) + Scarcity (only 3 people);
2) Commitment-Qualification Quiz: Your current Job, how much do you currently make, some motivational questions;
3) Commitment-Consistency with self 2-Questions-Email Quiz: 1) Why you’re motivated to do so… kind of question, 2) What would mean to you having that money question;
4) Congratulations you’ve been selected + Scarcity Email: Induced happiness/surprise + 3 spots left;
5) Link to Course with Payment Plan.
What I would’ve added:
A nice Facebook/Video webinar.
He threw the offer too quickly making even the newbies feel betrayed. Most people now feel “sold” because he's never introduced a “cost” in the conversation.
I would have uploaded a medium length video on Facebook, retargeted people that watched 50% (the typical lazier, interested but easier to sell) and 70%+ of the video (the more committed… dreamers that might be working at a 9 to 5, have the money to pay for the course, maybe with a payment plan, but are still at the beginning of this “learning marketing and changing my life journey”).
The retargeting ads should have linked to 2 different squeeze pages so he could have segmented the 2 types of people in 2 different lists and nurtured them differently.
If you think about it, it’s still a high ticket offer for most average people… He did a GREAT job at the beginning till the middle but I think he could have been a little more powerful with a longer funnel.
It would have been perfect for a lower ticket offer (400/700$) because people would have acted more on impulse…
A 2500$ offer with a payment plan still requires an amount of logic at this stage.
I LOVED IT THO!!!
I loved the art behind it and the copy.
Cheers.
