Okay, I'm a cartoonist. But there no money in that, so I became a graphic artist. Despite being a very good graphic artist, employers wanted me to design websites too - so learned that. This past year I got a gig with a t-shirt printer to create their e-commerce website and found my employer expected me to add to my repertoire, Search engine marketing, optimization and web development. Then the economy did what it did and I've been warned my job may not exist come the new year. The progress i've made in getting the site hits hasn't converted to sales, very frustrating on many levels.

I've got a handle on white hat SEO, but its a bitch, especially getting back links. So professionally I've looked into black hat SEO for ideas. I've discovered more reasons to learn php, and have started as much.

But ultimately it's been looking like what I've learned could be better applied to making me money, and working for myself allows me to take measured risks (black hat becons). So in the here and now I qualify as a 'noob' and will lurk, soaking up ideas and applying same. My graphic design skills are strong , as is my copywriting (will look into a speech to text program, see if it speeds things up) - and I am learning php so I may grow into a useful somebody someday.

In the here and now I've considered a porn blog (I'm a good artist and so can provide original porn drawings) to pitch porn affiliates. And I'm writing an ebook kind of of taking the 'Secret' and injecting Zen and Chaos magic into it (such are my interests, I know the subjects well - so the ebook will be high quality).

I'm located in your area :) .... I've had Liber Null sitting around for years but haven't done anything with it. My discipline is shit, but I'm extremely curious to go into that realm...
