So I come from a small town. On facebook, we have several exchanges. You could add a bunch of casinos/businesses to be in the loop.. but there really is a lack of an all central source of info. There are news papers, and flyers.. but everything is digital now, and everyone is on facebook.

So, I pretty much came up with the idea of creating my own page "my local city events". I have added all the event centers, businesses, and local bands. Basically, I will be posting a bunch of flyers and promoting events (free, for now) and building popularity and followers, and likes. Once it hits a certain number, I will then begin approaching businesses (if they aren't already approaching me already) for advertising space, and getting paid to promote events. Basically, I'd be doing everything for free in the beginning, and then slowly charging businesses for advertising. I think this will be very appealing to business owners, because we all know people are in front of their computer, on facebook, way more than on TV or listening to radio.. so internet marketing is cream of the crop. It's also designed to be targeted to highly targeted and geographically important users.

Not sure how well this will work out.. but right now, I'm a little tipsy and it seems like not a half bad idea.

The great part is... I doubt any single BHW user lives in my city.. so you really can't saturate it. Feel free to try it for yourself if you'd like. It'd be interesting to see how it all pans out.

So.. I don't expect to make any money for awhile obviously. Probably spend a few good months building.. but after it's established, I would like a good $500/month at least from advertising.. then hopefully build it up from there.

    Will keep you guys updated.
