New EPN account. Question for experienced EPN users

i just purchased a US based EPN account and i want to log into it and make some changes, does eBay pay attention to the IP address of the EPN accounts. Say it was created on the west coast and i am logging in on the east coast will it draw in scrutiny from the EPN police? i have been banned from ebay before for VERO reasons but i can easly change my IP address but its still an east coast ip address. What should i do and does it matter?

that is a possibility when your active on your account "cs" vise sofar no problem for me. But i did have both of my accounts banned beffore for login in with the same computer but different ips. When I got my rescent accounts from ca and uk I been yousing us ips but different comp dns numbers and sofar no problems.

Guys I think the best idea is to think what an account would look like if it wasn't doing any illegitimate. In most cases a person that signs up for epn on the east coast of the USA will most likely not be sitting in India (just an example). You want to blend in with the crowd and look like all the wh accounts :) Don't give eg4y any reason to think your account is suspicious and you should be ok.
 
Make sure that your IP isn't linked to any other (previously banned) EPN/banned eBay/banned PayPal accounts, they're all connected. And like drstew said, it's pretty weird if an account from the USA is being used by an Indian IP and the other way around. But if they want to ban you, they'll always find a way, and they don't even have to come up with a legit reason;)
 
the account is a US based EPN account but i dont know what part of the US it is created in. if i am in NY and the account is created in Cali. should i be logging in with a Cali ipaddress or will my NY ip address do the trick?
 
I actually log into EPN accounts different from the ones which they are created with. So far it's fine so far and I've gotten paid. I even entered different tax information from a different state.
 
Sorry, I was asked about my comment above and when I said, "I actually log into EPN accounts different from the ones which they are created with." I meant I log into the EPNs with a different IP from the ones they were created with. To clarify further, the account was created with a Texas IP and I log in with a California IP. Hope that clears things up for everyone.

You want to try and use different computers or find a way to spoof your mac address. For example you could run separate VM's for each account and spoof the mac for them. I believe there is also a way to change your mac on your router but I don't have the details for this.

An alternative is to get separate VPS for each account. This way you will always be logging into the epn with the same IP, where as proxies can expire etc.
 
Nice thread. The only reason they would know if you were using the same computer to log into multiple EPN a/c's would be through cookies,flash cookies and any other internet sludge they happen to deposit.

My a/c was created in the US - im from the UK. I just log in using US proxies.
I was wondering whether i'd get flagged for logging in with i.p's showing up in different locations around the US i.e NY then California..

Why do people keep suggesting this? Since when has it been possible for a website to extract someone's mac address? As far as I know it can't be done.
 
I would be very careful about when/where you login. I just had 2 accounts banned for being linked to a previously banned account. They all had different info and I have no idea how they found out they were both being used be me. I used the same 2 different proxies to log into both and they still somehow found a link. Something makes me think that they are using more than just IP address to link accounts.

This has happened to a lot of accounts lately, a few of mine last week too and I have never been banned before.
