Spoke to a possible customer yesterday who has been doing his own SEO for a two year old domain, and it's not ranking.

    Wait for it...

971,000+ links to a local business site. With keyword anchor text.

LOL. What was the velocity? You're better off making a new site on a new domain - I doubt Google will disavow all that.

The thing is, these're the ones I can see. I have no idea how many are really out there.

Ditch the existing site, and start fresh - few high PR home page blogs, few rented sape-style links, and he'll be over the moon.

You need to start fresh with a new site like some other members have said above me. Clearly a lot of those links are
bad and are going to keep his site down.

Step 1: Ask him if he has a manual penalty, if not then proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Ask him if he is willing to put a 600$ first month in SEO to see if the website has any future. If he accepts, buy 500 High PR Blog Backlinks from one of the best in the Market Place, and keep 100$ for yourself for the trouble.

Step 3: Wait a month and see if he has any future at all. If he has, proceed to Step 4.

Step 4: Keep raking the cash on the side.

    Good Luck!
