I think I am going to diversify a bit and start a coupon site similar to RetailMeNot and the dozen of other clones. They have tons of coupons on that site and I doubt they have affiliate links for all the coupons.

I know there are well over 25 aff networks you can utilize for these coupon offers and its going to be a bitch setting them all up. I imagine I will promote many of the coupons and offers for free and as I sign up for new networks I plug in my aff ID.

I want to know where is a good way to get all the coupon data? I see many deal aggregation services and some cost over $1K per mo. A bot to scrape a bunch of the other coupon sites would be nice ;) Anyone have any ideas?

Who else here has a coupon site or experience with running one? From what I see there is more than enough room in the market for a new coupon site :D

there seems to be too many of these now the market seems saturated

I would tend to agree with you if it were any other market. I feel its different with the coupon market though. If you look at the traffic stats for all the coupon sites you will see the potential.

Just think of all the times you or someone else hunts for a promo code... Did you find a working one the first time? Did you find a better code the more you searched? How many sites your visit during your search?

My point is that people bounce around on these sites so fast looking for the best code, or just a working code. I should get some of the action

Well, the problem is, you can't compete with all these big fishes. They earn a lot and invested a lot in their websites. If you want to stay out of the mass you have to offer something different. Otherwise you won't stand a chance and I agree with Infobeat on this.

maybe pick a niche then offer coupons and walkthroughs and other stuff for that niche to make purchasing cheaper and easier
