Last month, "A Circle of Gentlemen", a secret Jacobite Society opened their doors and now offer membership to the general public.
Great, but here's the Head's up guys - We have a National media interest from BBC; Press & Journal & Sunday Post newspapers etc., but there is also a growing International awareness. (You will all be aware of the advantage that brings to any campaign!)
This coverage shall escalate soon, following breaking news yet to be reported. I cannot say more at this time.
This is a genuinely unique opportunity to join us in promoting the website and attracting members to join.
This is not a competitive market and "Scotland" sells!
Anyone considering a visit to the Highlands would be happy to receive a 20% discount from Culloden House, easily offsetting the cost of joining.
Memberships are offered globally as we expect a good following from ex-pat networks and genealogy seekers/ ancestry researchers. The initial response has been great, giving us a 1% sign-up rate.
    That?s Untargeted traffic, guys!
Affiliates commission to be finalised, but in the region of $30.

Great to see some website construction out there.

Forgot to mention that affiliate payout is yearly recurring...
    ....Awaiting Clickbank approval.

Why don't you put up some demographic stats on this market and give us details of the upcoming BBC news release that is going to melt your server when we follow that hot trend?

    Shhh! Don't tell everyone :)

Demographics will be included on the affiliates page in due course.
Press details will not be released to anyone other than those concerned parties, at present. Certain terms and conditions must be adhered to for sole rights to be maintained. One of those conditions is 'don't shoot you mouth off, before you give an exclusive interview'.
    Thank you for your understanding.

I meant to comment on this thread at an earlier time but I'm pretty sure I thought it was a joke and wandered off. I think I've read all the information on your site twice and still really don't understand what this is supposed to be. Can you enlighten me on why you actually think someone would want to join an openly promoted secret society that offers information probably freely found on a number of online websites?

I don't understand your market enough to even begin promoting your product.

On a totally different note, I think your color scheme may scare off some potential buyers. That website is blinding on any decent contrast screen and it's hard to read your text.

    Thanks for the feedback.
Possibly you may have read our 'about' page if you dropped by a couple of days ago. The sales page is now in place.
Our Key Features (only viewable by Members) are:

    • Private forum membership

    • Society meetings throughout the year at various venues in Scotland.
Whether offline or online, like minded modern day Jacobites can exchange views and information. As we celebrate a glorious age in Scotland's history, authenticity is key. During meetings, we shall wear 'the kilt' and other period costume in celebration of Scotlands ancient customs and traditions and our beloved homeland. This is a colourful affair. If you turn up in jeans and a shirt, we may not notice you.

    Additional benefits are:

    • Open forum membership with additional private forum.

    • Discounts available from key niche vendors such as, custom made kilts, period accessories.

    • A small, but growing downloads section with Jacobite reading materials, artworks etc.

The colours of this period in Scottish history were very bright. This has been adopted on our website to remain true to this tradition. Our background is one of many hundreds of "Tartans"; the design method that comprises "The Kilt". Arguably, the most recognisable National Costume on the planet.

(I am concerned that you cannot read the text? Black Arial on off white is about as clear as is possible. Maybe if you get time you can pm me a screenshot?)

    Our main target market:

    • Local and Overseas Scots.

    • Ex-pat Scots.

    • American/ Canadian Scots. (Many were displaced during the Highland 'clearances' in the 18th century).

    • Holidaymakers - destination Scotland

    • Genealogy/ Ancestry researchers.

    • Anyone who enjoyed the movies "Highlander" or "Braveheart" :D

Yes, indeed. The article was run by the BBC 14th January. The picture is from "Scotland on Sunday" newspaper article from September 2009.

The next interview will be held provisionally within the next two weeks and we anticipate a much increased media coverage.
