Okay, so I made this blog that's 5 days old. It's a wordpress blog. I have configured all the plugins and everything. I have a $20.00 budget, so what can I do with the $20.00 to boost my rankings? Let's see:

    1. I can make unique content myself.
    2. The theme has good SEO, along with some good SEO plugins.

How can I get backlinks and traffic?
Should I go with the social marketing idea, and get more traffic, or should I get more backlinks to increase rankings?

I could do both, but I don't know any free (or cheap) ways to get backlinks other than manual labor.

I tried searching, but all I get is help that's not about building up backlinks, and rather about how to build up the blog itself. I got the blog down, but I need more exposure. If you can help, thanks :D

Is Scrapebox good? I've heard many good things about it!

But in the meantime, what can I do now to improve ranking?

First post after lurking for so long :D

Saw that you were in the same boat as i am, so i wanted to chime in.. I started a blog about a week ago, hand reg domain, no bl, no listings, etc. I've been writing about an article a day, which targets a specific keyword. I have an EMD which has a high search volume, ranks 17th in google, but a long tailed search that i didn't know i was targeting, which i found in analytics, found was on first page of google without no link building.

Just like you, i have more time then money to invest. I have been trying to make unique content, and do the best onsite seo that i can. Target long tailed searches with your keyword, make own page for it, and write some killer content. I have been doing most my research with adwords tool..

Just keep up the article writing, and maybe research some gigs that people are doing here for less than $20, which actually returns results.. I know twenty bucks is not much to work with, but it is a start.

    Good luck!

Don't forget to set up your pinglist if your blog is in wordpress. Your posts will get indexed within hours everytime you post new content.

I have to say, that did the trick! All those WP plugins were good for SEO, but as soon as I properly set up my pinglist, I got 100 organic visitors! So I guess you all were right, as in backlinks are essential. Definitely gonna buy scrapebox now! Many thanks blackhatworld!

You could maybe buy a few gigs from Fiverr to increase your hits/ranking, or there's a couple cheap-o things here you could buy. I kind of think you're doing a good job yourself, though, and so maybe you should keep your money until you're get to the point where you want to outsource more stuff.

Don't forget to post your updates to Facebook and Twitter! Create a page on Facebook and update with the title and link of any post you write and put a Like button for this page on your blog. Also create a Twitter account and do the same, this time adding a Follow button to your blog.

If you have particularly interesting posts submit them to Reddit and it is possible that they will go viral!

I'm in a similar position: just made a big change to my company, got into SEO, and had to do a switcho-changeo that's got me on a couple of new domains plus trying to swing my SEO for existing domains over to the new SEO theme.

I'm noticing that Google is slow in picking up backlinks right now.

    My Software Advice:

    1. Scrapebox, but spend a few evenings learning it, and watch ALL the videos. Do NOT base your comments on the ones in the training videos!

    2. SE Nuke X, but be prepared to spend an hour doing setup for each campaign to do it correctly.

    3. Register with Decaptcher (my fav). Start with $20. It works as advertised, and everything requires it.

I have a tested system with timing of your activities on a daily and weekly basis to build momentum over the next 29 days to get you anywhere from 100-500+ unique visitors a day, without spending money on software, themes or plugins...guaranteed.

I approached this with the idea that someone has less than $20 to spend and starting from scratch. So, if you have hosting and a domain already, then this guide will save you a lot of money!

I just recently offered this on the warriorforum with great reviews! PM me for more details, thanks!

dont spend your money on guides

especially not from someone with 1 post trying to sell you soemthing

just start building backlinks from forums blog comments any free web 2 sites until you can afford some automation software and then step it up a notch
