    UPDATE:
I've decided to limit my FREE membership offer to the first 20 that reply with some helpfultips/suggestions on how I can make the product better.

So it's first come first serve basis, I want HONEST suggestions only, not something like= "use H1 for the title" I'm not a noob LOL. This thread is ment to serve as a market research and testimonial request.

    Hey guys and gals,

I need some advice and oppinions, for those of you that reply here with useful suggestions on how I can improve what's in the works I will give a free membership to my soon to be released IM product.

I've been thinking all day about this idea and I keep telling myself that if I was presented with such an offer I'd buy it for $50 right away.

So here's what I'm doing I'm working on launching a new IM related product, one that actually GET'S RESULTS for those that buy it.

It's a new IM product on backlinks, most focused on auto-approved backlink URL'S and tools and strategies you can use to become as effective as possible and get things done REAL FAST.

I will keep updating and adding to the members area to keep the content as fresh as possible, since alot can change regarding backlink sources.

So this is like a site review, but I need tips, ideas and suggestions on what you yourself would like to see or would pay for in such a product.

Note it willl be content only (no software/script), simple to understand step by step blueprints on how to achieve different backlinking goals ASAP.

So here are some questions for you:
    1) How much would you be willing to pay $50? less or more?
    2) Would you promote such a product as an affiliate?
    3) Would you buy such a product, or would you rather outsource the work?
    4) any other thoughts ideas?

So let me know your thoughts, also when you get a copy of the product which should be ready this weekend. I would love to get your testimonial if you found the product helpful in anyway.

So let the drums roll...

    Thanks,
    Erik Creed

if its a useful software and really gives backlinks, then yes i would buy it.

    even for $50.

I wouldn't promote it as an affiliate since IM products have a lot of competition, and i like to work with micro niches.

my idea about promoting the product would be to write/outsource several articles for e-zine articles.

Here's a question that is very important, any ideas on how to solve this? =

The backlink sources/URL's will get spammed to death if I have too many members. So is there a clever work around for this?

I was thinking maybe sell the membership for a one time $97 and give affiliates 75%. This way not that many could afford to join.

Sure I'll update the contents of the members section, but if I have too many members all the new backlink sources will be spammed to death within a week.

So any ideas on how to make this work?

    Or I might charge a one time $97 and a recurring $9.97 .
This way those that ask for refund right away won't join, because $97 is alot to risk if they can't get it back for some reason.

Ok help me out here guys, how do I solve the issue of too many members spamming backlink sources to death?

    Thanks,
    Erik Creed

I think you will have to tell us and show more, it's like saying "who wants to buy this box" " I can't show you what's inside but it's good".
Erik be more specific and you will get many replies.
    Just my 2p.

    Hi Erik,

Congrats on your initiative. I'll through in some ideas. ( BTW, to all others replying to this post, I understand there's NO SOFTWARE involved so far, just content ).

1- I wouldn't just deliver info, but create an active community. You could suggest backlink building experiments where you would all test new techniques and improve them together. This way, you would be able to cut down on your work, get members more involved ( better retention ) and content would flow both ways. Also, you'd actually be creating a group of trained peers, some of whom could become potential JV partners in the future.

2- As you can see by the comments, most of us want to have sth done for us rather than simply knowing how to do it. So, you could possibly make an upsell out of this: gather some trained outsourcers and offer the members of your site the option to have backlinks created for them hands free for a good price without getting into software development ( members would get great prices from trained people and you'd even make more money out of it )

3- I would limit the number of members to about 100-150, and ask for an initial $67 and then $17/month or so. If you count memberships, outsourcing upsell fees, affiliate backend sells from inside the membership and so on, you're looking at $1500-$2000/month or more for getting help on developing new linking strategies, which is something you already do anyway (well, not exactly, but you see my point)

4- Since cap would be limited, I'd just take care of promotion by doing a WSO, and selling memberships here and perhaps in DP. This way, you'd get a core group of members. Then, you could approach someone with a related product, list or Web 2.0 following of some kind and cut some sort of JV ( I hear a member of BHW is about to launch a linkwheel creating software on February, for example ). This is usually the fastest way.

Hope I got your concept right. If I think of sth else later I'll let you know.

The best of luck to you.

Been waiting on a PRO site header, and now it's done...

    Things are looking REAL nice.

Any tips on how to improve things for the members?
