Hello everyone! I just joined today and must admit that I am a bit overwhelmed. I was hoping to get some information and advice from experienced members:

    1) Not sure if this is me being paranoid, but with some of the marketing tactics (obviously) being Black Hat, is there some sort of steps that I should be taking to protect my identity when interacting with the forums? For example, should I be using a private browser or anything like that? I have no experience with this and would love some advice. Is there anything that needs to be done so that purchases / posts / etc can't be traced back?

    2) There are tons of acronyms and insider slang that I have never seen before in many posts. What is the best way to become familiar with these? Is there some sort of guide, or should I just read and Google?

    Thanks for the help!

Hi, welcome to BHW! To quickly answer your questions....

1, as long as you're not discussing stealing the USA nuclear launch codes you should be fine. Chatting about Instagram bots and Facebook methods won't attract the FBI (or even worse, the internet police). ;) If you want to get a proxy or something, by all means go ahead. It's really not that big of a deal. The majority of people on here are just internet marketers in various niches. For purchases and stuff just get a throw-away email so you don't get spam sent to your main one.

And 2, just Google them. You'll become familiar with most of the ones used over and over again. Don't be afraid to ask if you don't know. Some dumbass on here might make a joke but at least you'll learn what it means. Most people are pretty nice and want to help others just starting out with this. We all had to start somewhere!
