    Intel is going to be realsing a 8 core 22nm(last set was 32nm) atom with support for 64GB of DDR3 ram.

    So will these new atoms be able to run SEO tools well or will just help lower the cost of running a website?

    previous atom processors was not so good, I hope this will be a powerful machine not like them.

    I think its going to be 7x more powerful than the D2700 so around 60.2 gigaflops. Which means it should be able to handle SEO tools and websites with ease while only using under 10watts of power.

    From the little research I've done the intel d2700 seems more designed for a website based on 10 year old designs. Or for use as a storage server. If the Avoton series can really do around 60gigaflops for its high end model, it will change the hosting industry.

    One step closer to cores acting more like brain neurons.

    We're gonna be so obsolete and void of opinions that are worthy of listening to soon, can't wait(as I shake in fear)

    Would really depend on the speed of the processors. It wouldn't matter if you had 50 cores if they were all running on 50 GgHz. :)

    You meant 50MHz?

    These are going to be in the 1.6GHz to 2.13GHz depending on the model in the avoton series.

    I know were talking about CPU's. But If any of you have never tried running a "SOLID STATE DRIVE" on a Sata-6 motherboard you will piss your pants. LOL Truth is alot of people dont understand that its there "MECHANICAL HARDRIVE" That is holding there computer system back.

    An 8 core atom is just a silly gimmick if it follows the architecture philosophy of the current atom line. It's impossible to imagine a non-vtx/ept 8 core atom with paltry l2 cache clocked to run on flea power pound-for-pound performance approaching a 65 watt E8400, which are to be had for about $60 these days, nor any 8 core intel chip that does support virtualization extensions with meaningful performance being cheap or low power.

    As long as Intel graphics remain synonymous with "terrible," it's also pretty meaningless for netbooks and tablets. ARM isn't win in that space because ARM, it's because Nvidia.

    The E8400 was released in 2008, it had a 45nm cpu and also didn't have tri-gate transistors.

    @dismantle

    What will really blow away and is a modern setup is the main system in a 4x SSD raid 0 setup with the most commonly used programs installed onto a ramdisk setup.

    Oh yes of course! But i hear people all the time that are like "I need to upgrade my ram" or my "processor" is to slow. When that's not the issue at all. You can have 3 gigs of ram on even an older Motherboard and the speed is just amazing. Check out your Windows Index Score after installing one. It as well ranks it as a 7.9. When i installed my first one i dumped 100+ programs in the startup and rebooted my machine. It was like instant. I actually run two Agility 3 in Raid 0 right now insane benchmarks.

    Look at this guy here :Running a dell m1330 only 4 gigs of ram. This laptop is 5+ years old.

    So if you actually swap just your hard drive out of your laptop you wont have issues with running programs anymore.
