I got my free redirect deleted when i use dot.tk free domain redirect , now i use offto.net but now the site is down when my video is getting so many hits so i like to tell you never ever use a free redirect.
I don't know about tinyurl but i already gave up using free services.

You get what you pay for.
A self-hosted solution is always the best for situations like this. You never want you infrastructure under the control of someone else.

I need to use multiple redirect/cloaking for my videos because i have many videos to post to and i don't want it to get deleted by the video sites due to same link so subdomain redirect is out of the question,
    Any other methods?

So you basically want to redirect, except using a bunch of different domains for links?

i bought a buttload of .infos from godaddy for 79 cents each. they all forward to my main domain. i am looking for a cheaper option though. i need like 1000 of them. i really don't want to use any free services.

I have a domain (some-more.info) that I use as a multi director - each link is in the form:

    Code:
    http://some-more.info/about/keyword
The URL then looks quite natural - 3 bucks spent and as many links as I want. I even put a very basic front end to it all so it acts like TinyURL.

Get to it - like others have said, get everything under your control and nearly nothing can go wrong :)

Register a domain like tiny url and make one of your own url shorteners. You can create as many urls as you like.

    EDIT:
Yea, what the guy posted above me :)

Fatboy that is an awesome idea you had.

I made my own URL shortening website. That way it looks legit if anyone goes there.

You can get scripts pretty much anywhere online. I chose to use one called: Phurl

It was very easy to set up and free. If you are in this business and need redirecting I highly advise you to drop the 3-10 dollars and get a domain and make your own.

I wrote the script myself - its not the hardest if you know a bit of PHP and MySQL.
It doesn't cloak the referrer itself, but with the DMR thing I guess you can wangle that :)

Actually, might have a crack at building in the DMR thing his afternoon.
