these people are scum..they will take your money and then deny your transaction for fraud. But you don't get refunded.

Wasted 520 dollars trying to buy a dedicated server because of this .. money that could have gone for stuff i could use. Why do they need to steal my money if the order is declined?

Yep Same thing happened to me. The said they will refund me within 5 days . I waited around 1 month and they basically told me i wasnt going to get a refund.
 
sure thing: 2co for selling, paypal for buying goodies :)

happened to me once , i contacted my hosting provider

got refunded and free hosting for a year:p

the title is a little bit misleading, OP didn't buy nothing from 2co, he bought dedicated server using 2co as payment processor
2co is a payment processor like paypal and they accept paypal payments as well just to make it a bit more difficult :)
 
I made two purchases for the same hosting. One with credit card and the second with paypal balance.
 
i swear by them actually.. i have never had a problem with them, but i have had my account since '09 and i talk to my rep every couple months to see how things are going
with my sales.

i have never bought from them, but the people that buy from me, generally have no problem at all. i did have 1 guy that was a U.S. citizen over in another country at the time for vacation , and they denied his payment for fraud because of the IP location
but he ordered from his home when he got back to the states, and had no problem

paypal... well, i can't stand them, but you can buy through paypal on 2co if you wanted.

im not saying they are good or bad, just that my own experience has been pretty good.

i tried to be ironic...as OP has difficulties getting his money back or at least it's definitely not as painless if it were a direct paypal purchase (paypal doesn't really side with the seller in most of the cases)

You do realize 2CO is a payment processor not the company you bought your hosting from right?
 
right.

if the order form says the payment is processed by 2checkout avoid at all costs

the hosting company saw no record of payment going though but i got charged anyway, and even after the order was deemed fraudulent. So i paid $250 twice for nothing.
