Netfirms feedback?

Hi guys, im considering purchasing several domains, i already have one from godaddy, but there rates seem to be high and netfirms is for the time being offering free whois privacy.

Anyway, what are your thoughts?

Any other domain registrar recommendations?

Purchase domains from Namecheap instead of netfirms. Netfirms control panel is like 90's.
Namecheap also offers free whois policy for 1 year.

Namecheap FTW but I am also with Netfirms and I must say that I love them too.
Apart from their control panel which they are currently upgrading there's not much to moan about.

An honest question, how often do you really need to use the domain control panel?

Savings: $3.86

Given that i might register 5-6 domains, thats around $20 savings, probably what ill make off them in first month on adsense

I'm not trying to argue against you guys or anything, I really appreciate your feedback, I'm just looking for reasons to not register from netfirms..

Yesterday I was preparing my yearly tax papers and needed all of my invoices from Netfirms and renew a domain.

DISASTER!

No invoices online, glitch in their system, renewed the domain and it was not renewed, contacted support, they told me what to do and not to worry.

- Did what they told me - And yep, got charged again. Did the domain renew? NOPE.
Oh.. And before I started with them they told me renew is $8.99 and will never change. How much was I charged? -$11.99.

Panel doesn't show you how many days left per domain (Should, they of-course have an error).

Oh... A competitor called me a few months ago to a number under a private registered domain. How? -Glitch in their system.

Yeah sure.. Netfirms.

I use netfirms from 2008, never had problems, but indeed the control panel is bad, even now after upgrade. I also use godaddy and moniker from a long time, and from the two I would recommend the second.

More than two hours to register a simple domain today in netfirms. I prefer pay more $2 and next time i will go with godaddy.
What i said to support:" i don't know why net firms activation systems are too bad, first my account wasn't working - needed to talk with support. Second, my domain wasn't appearing in Domain Central - Contant the support again to fix. And now my domain isn't active?

I was a Netfirms customer for 6 years or so. They just did a screwjob on me like no other. Deleted 3 of my clients databases during their "migration" upgrade. Then offered me a refund and now they deleted my account and have no records for anything and said they cannot extend a refund.

AVOID NETFIRMS!

I'm trying to have a refund too, this was my baddest experience with registrar!

I purchased a domain from them using their coupon code and 2 days later they refunded my amount and deleted my account. No response after sending atleast 10 domains. They are worst then godaddy. They snatch domains whenever they want. This is my experience with them.
