I have the Acer Aspire One with the 8.9" screen. I would recommend getting the 10.1" screen and make sure you have an external DVD drive to go with whatever you get.

I've got a HP2133, aside from gaming.. you can't tell the difference between it and my buddies $1500 alien ware laptop.

I did a TON of research before I bought, and this is the Netbook to have.

Of course you will need to get the 2gig Ram upgrade and a Bluetooth mouse.

My total about 6 months ago was $425.00 for all. It is most likely cheaper now but look at the stats..

External DVD is good, but I just use my 8gig usb drive. You can do anything from moving files to installing a new OS.

But yea, sure an external dvd is good.. but will you carry it with you? and if I wanted a 10+ inch screen I would just move up to a 14" one and get a regular laptop.

I should also note that I ditched XP on my Aspire One for Ubuntu Netbook Remix. It is sooooo much faster now.
I thought about going with the HP because it does actually feel nicer, but I wanted the Atom and didn't know if I'd be able to live with Linux (knowing that Vista on a Netbook is just a dumb idea)

dell mini 10 i got three now for various projects but my main one is never far away from me, keyboard is awesome, its light and rugged i opted for the solid state drive, i also doubled up on and got 16gb SD cards and set that as my my docs, ive never needed a DVD drive i always use iso's and poweriso

battery life is great especially on the SSD has no moving parts not even a fan!

the dell series you can get in lots of different colors so that will keep your missus happy! lol

in the uk you can get deals with vodafone and get them for like 20GBP a month with built in broadband check the vodafone website - my mum actually got an inspiron for about the same

think sprint are doing them for a dollar!
