Ok so a couple days ago my sister's cat (she's 13) had kittens, the male cat is my neighbors, but the female cat is my sisters. They had kittens at my neighbors house, I think the neighbor took the cat and kept it in their house because she has stolen the cat before.

Anyways, my little sister went there yesterday to ask for her cat back and the kittens, and the lady (a bit crazy) said oh yeah sure let me get them, and locks the door and closes all the blinds in the house, and my sisters sitting there for 30 minutes ringing the doorbell and the ladies ignoring her.

So I will go there later to talk to her nicely, but if the kittens are only a couple days old , you can't really separate it from her kittens, but the cat is my sisters so shouldn't she have the right to get her cat back along with the kittens?

I could care less if they were mine, but you gotta understand the little girl is attached to her cat, but whats the right thing to do?

Let the lady keep them? Bust a cap? Or call the cops(lol kinda weird IMO)?

The ladies son(6) told us before she hurts and chokes the cat, now I personally wouldn't use that to get her in trouble, but my sister is scared to leave her cat there now.

    What you guys think?

It's a really low form of human being who abuses animals, but it (sadly) happens.

I would report her to the human society or its equivalent in your area. I would also do whatever I had to do to get the cat and the kittens (you're right about keeping them together at such a young age).

    Good luck.

Call the Police. The lady can't keep your sister's cats. I have cats, and if my neighbor took mine, I would ask nicely (ONCE) and then probably go DEFCON 4 like in the above picture........no, seriously, call the police and animal control.

They have to respond. Especially animal control.

If you think creatively, one could say that you think the old lady has had a stroke and so on and you are concerned for her safety. Then, the police would come out and check her out.

She probably does have mental issues, perhaps even Dementia.

All the more reason to get the Police involved.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Looks like the old battleaxe buttoned down the hatches and is gonna hold up in her bunker with her new prisoners/hostages. Full frontal assault complete the mission under the cover of darkness take no prisoners and FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION. Get those kittys back...

I would call the cops pronto because if the lady's son has said she hurts the cats, then no telling what she's over there doing.

Ok so I went over there and only the two daughters were home, the younger one was like 14 and she said she doesn't want to get involved, I said ok well just go inside and bring out the cats, she said I would but my sister is crazy we don't mix well, she will probably attack me. I said ok we will be back but it's bad enough you kidnapped our cats, atleast feed them, please?

Still A bit too early for the smoke bomb through window idea, I guess I'll wait until the parents come home.

Is this a serious thread? I am not one for reporting ANYTHING to the police but come on...why are you even asking this question? Your neighbor stole personal and live property protected by just more than one arm of the law.

Call the cops. When would you try to reason with a "crazy" person who stole cats?

Well there's more than one person living in the house I found out, I just meant if worse comes to worse when I ask for the cat back, should I really call the police? I never talked to the neighbor personally, I heard she was crazy from other people, doesn't mean everyone living there is crazy.

But I think trying to reason first is the first step no matter what they did, my question was is it ridiculous to call the cops, which I see isn't by most of the replies.

@Hunwarrior I guess you're new here. I just commented on your thread but it
it is extreamly bad manners to hijack someones thread by spamming your own one in it.
Especially as your thread has nothing of substance to add to this forum.

You could call the police dept. and ask for some advice, that's what they're there for. I'm sure they'll set fit to get involved once you relay what the 6 year old said to you once. I don't like that at all. A parent that would choke a cat in front of a child that young could quite possibly be unstable.

If that was my cat i'd be kicking the crazy bitches door in, don't your parents want to get involved in the matter?

I know i'd go ape shit if I had a 13 year old girl and someone stole her cat
