Yelp sucks. We all know that. Any asshole can post a complete bullshit review...forget trying to take it down or push it down. Simply respond to it. Here is a great read: http://themetapicture.com/woman-leaves-bad-online-review/ If the business owner didn't reply many people may have seen that long rant and assume that it was a horrible experience - because 99% of the people are too freaking lazy to read the entire thing. This would make the business look bad to many potential customers. Well, the business owner replied, and NAILED it. See the link above. It turned into positive press and check out some nice links they got: There is always going to be some asshole customer that leaves a dirty review. Use this approach and look at the positives that came out of it. I read the above article earlier today just after someone approached me about getting Yelp reviews. Looking at his negative reviews it is clear some were complete crap - if he just took this approach he wouldn't need to try to source fake reviews.
