I had a client approach me the other day with a rather "INTERESTING" offer for me to do Negative SEO on a site, now I've been purely White Hat and that's why I'm a brand new member on here :)

I'm interested in Negative SEO and how one would go about it..
I know scrapebox blasting and spam link building but Scrapebox for me doesn't seem to work very effectively as it takes so damn long to develop my link building.

    Anyone got tips/tricks?

This topic is HIGHLY frowned upon here and would suggest you tell your client that its a bad idea because if he NegSEO a competitor then it will start a whole NegSEO war between the top ten as what ever he does to someone then likely the person will do to him/her in return and if not sure who then the victim could go on a revenge NegSEO campaign against ALL his potential competitors. So in the long run everyone loses. Or worse you make the competition stronger.

There are numerous threads on BHW outlining how such negative campaigns worked in reverse. Suggest you take a look and use the Search function.

They can disavow those links using the google disavow tool.
