I was checking some sites on flippa this morning and found one that was claimed to be a PR3, so I checked it with some checkers and was told it was PR n\a. However the PR display in my browser says PR-1. I've never seen a negative PR before.
If this is true and not a bug this may be some proof that negative links do exhist.
    Anyway here's the screengrab

SEO and PageRank aren't necessarily interdependent though.

your a bit late with that comment, that was 2005's debate - 2012's debate is whether negative SEO really exhists

So the seller is trying to sell a deindexed site? Did you post a comment?

It has been proved several times that negative SEO exists, but people are only going to believe what they want to believe because that's more convenient. I personally try and not waste time on such discussions anymore. To me, its a reality, if others don't believe in it anymore I don't bother correcting them. There's enough proof and case studies floating around on the net that negative SEO exists. But it's not as simple as blasting a website with scrapebox either, which is the part that most people fail to grasp.

You're making the case that because he has -1 Page Rank that negative SEO exists.

I'm showing you why that isn't a reasonable conclusion because Page Rank is not an indication of SEO rank. A page can have 0, or -1, or whatever and still be ranked (even high). Negative SEO is forcing a penalty onto a site in order to take it off the SERPs, not to lower the page rank (if that is even possible, which I'm thinking it's not).

I think that -1 stands for N/A in some checkers.
It would be more interesting if you find a site with PR of -2.
