Neeva a new search engine is officially launching today. It’s free for three months—long enough for users to grow accustomed to it without obligation—and $4.95 a month thereafter. They offer apps for iPhones and iPads, and browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Brave.

Neeva users can stay up-to-date on everything from stock picks to the status of packages for delivery on their homepage.

Some of the features they offer: Users can choose the retailers they love and news sources they want to see results from.

I am deliberately not putting any link to the website, it may be considered as spammed advertising.
Mods, they don't have an affiliate program! :D

I love the hustle but it’s hard for me to see anyone paying for a search engine when we have google.
They’ll go out of business if it’s a paid model I hate google but I wont pay a penny for search engine

Who wants to pay for a search engine? Unless I'm missing some key info, this sounds like a terrible business plan.

Oh yes, have my $60/year.

If they can do the marketing properly then they may get some subscribers - like if they market like:
- if u use their search engines, your data will not be stolen.
- unlike any other search engines - they will give all the money to the users which they get from the advertisers

Why would I pay the money when I get to use Google for free :D

They probably won't charge you anything. This looks like a marketing trick to attract more users. Without doing anything, they made it sound like some high-end search engine. Now they just need to promote it well so that the users check it out of curiosity.

Google be like that's a nice little project you got there, would be a shame if I offered you £10 million.. :smirk:

Someone should make a search engine for rich folks. Make it look ultra high luxury lol. You know how rich guys love to waste money. They'll be happy to spend $xxxx a month for an exclusive search engine.

Data not stolen - DuckDuckGo and it's free.

only a small minority of people care about who has access to data. Mainly these political and nonprofit people whose sole purpose is to waste time. They seem to be the loudest bunch too, but most people don't care as long as they get the results they're looking for.
