commenter bot
rating bot
run them a shit ton and hope you dont get b&

OR

make a good video
put up an alright video at a great time

I think what is meant is some time a fad will hit on you tube so even an average video that wouldn't normally get a lot of attention will get a lot of views just because everyone is watching these kinds of videos.

Remember all the coke and mentos vids? Plenty of similar examples too of something cheesy getting popular for no other reason than timing.
