Hi Guys, I don't post for help much but I am hoping you will lend me your advice and opinions on this issue. My son made this site last year, since, it's been down 3 times and rebuilt and we have been working out bugs and such, He has put A TON of work into this and tried SO hard to make it fun and tweets about it and Facebook's about it and still, there are a lot of so called visitors, but no one registers. He tries everyday to get ppl on it and work on it. :(

We even made a section for guests to be able to post without registration and still Nada. He is getting so heartbroken and I don't know what to do to make it work. I am used to doing traffic for salesy sites or local businesses, not one where you need participants. Please help!! Should I do an Adwords campaign? (don't have much $$ right now) find a forum to place a banner? facebook ads? I just am going in circles and it kills me that my kid is so sad and so determined to help the family with his site and make friends on there and yet no one comes around but the Scrapebox bots and spammers. (no offense!)

    This is the site.
    Code:

Please share your thoughts. Thank you!!!

He's probably in the most competitive niche on the internet. Games are a high-visual niche. People want graphics, and not just "graphics" but the RIGHT graphics, scenes from games, action, motion, etc... The forum is sterile, and I don't think you are going to be able to compete with large sites like gamespot without giving visitors either 1) What they expect or 2) What they aren't getting somewhere else.

He would be wise to focus on just one game, and make his site all about just that, and expand the site to fit the traffic, vs. making a site and hoping the traffic shows up. The URL kind of sucks too, sorry to say. It conveys the idea that it's put together as a "vanity effort" rather than providing substantive content for a defined user base.

One bit of concrete advice I would give is to maximize the word "CORNER" in "games corner". The title needs to be at least 4 times larger, in a dramatically contrasting color and ought to have some kind of supporting, angular graphic that looks like a corner. Neon green, or neon yellow or neon red. Or all 3 rotating. However I don't think you are going to find that level of functionality and aesthetic in a pre-made template. So, he might start learning how to code.

Yea, :( I realize he is, I have Market Samuri'd the holy heck out of his niche to try and find SOMEthing he can corner a little but unless he wants to target free math games, it's pointless. Thank you for your feedback and advice, it's appreciated!
