Just host is the absolute worst. I need to move and 6-10 of my sites from just host to blue host. they are all wordpress sites, I know that downloading the sites and uploading them is not that difficult but I have no idea how to do it.
Does anyone want to help me out with this? I am willing to pay for it to be done, name a reasonable price.

Hi there - just folow these steps and you can do it alone its not that hard ... hope it helps :)

    • Login to the cPanel
    • Find the Domains section
    • Click the Domain Manager icon
    • This should display the Hosting tab of the Domain Manager
    • Click on the Domain Manager tab
    • This should display the domain names that are registered through our registrar, Fast Domain
    • Put a check mark next to the domain to be transferred
    • Over on the right, select the Privacy tab
    • Select the button that says "Pause Domain Privacy". If privacy is already disabled, then skip this step.
    • Next, select the Contacts page
    • Fill out the information for the Registrant, Admin, and Billing sections. This information can be the same or different for all three
    • If you already know the hosting company you will be using to host your domain with and they have given you the name servers to use, please click on the Name Servers tab
    • Select Use Custom Nameservers
    • Enter in the name servers which the new hosting company has given you
    • Next, select the Transfer EPP button. You will need to copy this code, so you can later enter it into a place when transferring it to the new registrar

If you have backupbuddy wordpress plugin, it's so easy to transfer a website to a different host.

Install backupbuddy on the current site or sites and make a backup of each, full backup.

Setup your domain name on the other host, including the settings for DNS. The propagation might take hours, and most hosts will give a notice that it would take around 24 hours to propagate the new DNS record with the new IP Address.

Even before the DNS is propagated, follow the backupbuddy's instructions on how to migrate it.

Once migrated, all you have to do is wait for the DNS propagation. Sometimes, it will take a little time...say less than an hour.

I recommend using a plugin called Xcloner, its free and has great instructions. The learning curve for the first site should not take you more than 20 mins and from there you can do each site in about 5-10 mins. I recently moved about 10 sites and took me about 3-4 hours. I also recommend this because its a great way to back up your site regularly plus then you know how to do it. The reason I moved hosts was some of my sites got hacked so forced me to take the learning curve than try find an outsource partner. I prefer making DNS changes only once I am satisfied the site has moved properly and functioning, because if you make the DNS change and hit any snags then your site will be unavailable and then to try change the DNS back to the old host means more delays. Good Luck with the move.
