    Hey guys , I build 1k backlinks using xrummer..in 7-10 days my site started getting,within 100 searches,
Number of backlinks shown in yahoo explorer 1,500 and in google 8 backlinks in next 10-20 days.

As days passed my number of backlinks in google started decreasing, now after 2 months they are again 0 , but in yahoo explorer i can still see 1,500 backlinks and my website is in between 700-900 searches for this term.(Highly competiive term).

Can some one explain what happened , Did i got slapped by google for using xrummer , or is it something else.

PS: the posts i made via xrummer , are still on forum and are pretty decent and they look pretty well and has not been banned by moderators of forum.(checked all backlinks manually).

Would it be advisable, to build 1k to 2k links every month after this has happened ?

If i start building links manually, what can i do to build links which gets listed in google , because irrespective of my links are shown in yahoo , google is not considering it or its just playing me...or do i just wait and see whats destiny has instore for me.

What i dont understand is how does google , determines that link build is spam or not!!
even if thats just a url in your profile...same principle which SE Nuke works on.

Does consistency also matters for building links ?
    References examples are welcomed...

I would also like to know , how to build links , specifically for having them listed in google. (link:website)

Another thing , which i wanted to ask was
    whats the difference between link:domain.com , link:www.domain.com ,link:http://www.domain.com

As they all show different number of backlinks , is that a problem with 301 redirect which i need to fix or something else?

Suppose if you build links , that gets listed on google , On my end i think it takes about 90 days for all links to get listed , if you dont do anything like submit rss or ping..

Does they stay life long till that link exist or you need to keep building them, on a regular basis.. as they tend to get removed.

yea google killed your site off. it determined you were spamming because it's pretty much impossible for a new site to naturally gain 1500 links in 10 days unless you deliberately did it with a bot like xrumer.

tacopalypse no, that is not true. Many new websites that go viral or heavily promoted gain thousands of backlinks in a week.

To the OP: Chances are google lost the backlinks it found, or the one google found was deleted by webmasters. I have built more backlinks than you for new websites, but many of my backlinks are still indexed. You probably need to get your backlinks indexed again or build more backlinks. Also another possibility is as what was said above it could be the google algorithm change, which mean you will still need to gain more backlinks.

hey man thanks for responce , The site is not new , but it is about 2 years old...So i dont think building too many backlinks should be a problem....or is there...as they were just 1k links...

I believe Google does know the massive backlinks you have gathered within a short amount of time.

The problem here is not about having so much backlinks in a short amount of time. The problem here is your backlinks are slowly removed by moderators of forum.

I believe one of the things that GOogle determined whether your site is worthy or not is by checking if your backlinks have been removed. It is very logical that Google don't want site that could rank in their top position by spamming. They prefer site that is worthy to readers to be ranked. In most situation, links from site that are not worthy will be slowly removed by their webmaster, so Google using this logic to determine that.

This situation don't just happened in xrummer. It can happened any place or by using any spamming tools, its more obvious in cases of sudden burst of backlinks. Eg. Someone did a massive bookmarking on his website, and after a few days, his bookmarking account got banned and his links got removed. This is the kind of tell-tale sign that Google will observed and determine if your site can rank well.

It's a filter for unnatural link growth. It's auto-triggered, and hits you with a -50 Positions style penalty.

There are two schools of thought on how to best deal with this:

1: Wait it out and scale back to a more natural link growth pattern focusing on quality over quantity. You'll bounce back after six months or so unless other penalties get added.

2: Go balls to the wall and keep up this pattern every week for the next 3 months to show it's not "unnatural" for your site. Could work, could get you banned. Mostly depends on you, your site, and your niche. Lots of variables here.
