I have grabbed a piece of accounting teaching software from the torrents. And I have found a niche to sell it. But would first need to re-brand it and make sure all references in the logo, EULA, and contacts lead to my website.

So I am looking for someone who can modify the installation file so that when it installs it's perfectly re-branded.

A second option would be if you can't modify the installation file, then modify program files after installation. The graphics are kind of straightforward as they appear in their own folder in PNG format that can be easily edited with a photo editing software. But the text files are hidden in a proprietary file format.

*Scratch that* It's a piece of QuickBooks.

Not too smart.

So not only are you not paying for the software, you're wanting to resell it? Enjoy your time with bubba.

Interesting idea with the modifying files after installation - but be careful if you are in the US, as you will be screwed over.

And what about program updates? Are you planning on ripping that off too? Well you'll be screwing both your customers and the company selling the software.

This is just down righ disrespectful to that program developer. Cracking a software is one thing, but rebranding it and selling it?

Do the right thing and hire a programmer to do your own accounting software.

I am a developer as well, and I can say for sure, that in case someone did something like this with my software, I would go a long way to track them down and beat the shit out of them. I don't mind the occasional user to use a cracked version - it's bad, but it makes the developer to think of ways to prevent it in the future by creating better protection, but selling somebody else's work is just wrong. Software takes time and knowledge to create, and whoever is stealing it to brand it with their own name and resell deserves punishment. Whatever you decide to do - have fun (and Bubba will have his too) :P

contact them and see if they would consider white labeling the software?
