I have a post that I made on my blog recently, and realized that the title and URL had a typo in it. The page was already cached by google. Is it okay to just change the title and the URL to the correct for the mistake?

or do i need to start submitting things to google to take care of duplicate content issues etc.

its for a pretty well established site.

The simplest idea is to 301 redirect the old version of URL to the new one. Or you can just block those URLs in robots or by using meta robots but its better than you use a redirection method. The old result will soon be out of Google and the new content with right spells will be indexed.

you'd follow three ways.. either you can delete the post, rewrite it and then submit as new post.. Or you can just change the title only.. Dont change the permalink.. or redirection is the opt method ever.. make the new URL and redirect it to old URL.

If any other possibility, am also interested to know.
