Need suggestions on finding mentoring and coaching students

I am new to the forum here but I have been lurking for about a month or so. Now I am contributing. Since I don't have any relationships formed here, I would appreciate some assistance.Other forums (like over at D_P) gets a little too strict sometimes. You guys seem to be more real here.

I want to find some students for some coaching and mentoring in online marketing or MMO techniques. My thinking was to offer this in the Freelance or BST sections looking for about 5-10 students.These are all white hat methods. I am focusing on network marketing and affiliate marketing. It's pretty standard basic stuff. No scams or fishy tactics.

My twist is nothing new. I am combining Pay-It-Forward techniques with GPT or Get Paid Today and also the Pre-enroll method using free trials. The products are one-on-one coaching, training, mentoring and online business tools and equipment. I am calling it "The Free 10 Days To Cash Flow Case Studies"

The PIF method is where I pay the students rather than them paying me. I am offering $5 to anyone who wants to be a free student for 10 days. The GPT part is because their pay from me and their customers is paid immediately and not from company commissions.

The $5 will also pay for some of the products they will need so that is how it is 'paid forward'. I am paying for some of their product needs but I'm not just giving them the product free. I am giving them the cash and trusting them to pay for what they will need to use. They will do the same for their students.

The Pre-enroll part is based on getting customers or students enrolled before they spend any money.

The free trial part comes from having full use of the services before actually spending money. If they are not successful (or satisfied) then they can quit or give negative reviews or whatever they want if the results don't please them.

The goal is for each student to get at least 3 students of their own in the 10 day time period. (The 10 day time period excludes weekends) I would also pay their students to enroll. By having students pre-enrolled they now have legitimate customers. It's the ultimate try before you buy. If they can't enroll anyone during the trial period then they have only lost some time and still hopefully gained some knowledge and experience.

The actual coaching itself is setup like a 10 day boot camp or workshop complete with classroom assignments, lab projects and homework assignments. We will setup a means of contact like phone, skype, IM, chat, forum, etc. We will also setup class times convenient for both parties. We will setup contact times and give out assignments to be completed by the students.

We will try to answer any technical questions or marketing questions that may arise. Everyone will not qualify because the students will have responsibilities as well as the coaches.

The reason for the term 'case study' is because everything will be documented and recorded. If there are any problems or complaints during or after the trial then both sides in the matter will be wide open for anyone else to critique or defend.

The products are affiliate products and network marketing products. Those that have philosophical issues with or are not comfortable with any company or product can decide beforehand not to get involved.

The classroom topics or syllabus or whatever include YouTube marketing, SEO, PPC, Article marketing, blogging, Social marketing, Ebay, Press releases, free classifieds, traffic exchanges and direct sales marketing. This is all standard white hat stuff.

We will also be outsourcing things like bookmarking submission, classified ad submission, article spinning, SEO services, backlinking and other services to fellow forum members here on BHW. That is the advanced stuff that comes after the students have some paying customers and whatnot.

I would like to start ASAP. I would open up a new class each Monday allowing new members. This would make for concurrent classes one finishing up week two while newbies would be beginning week one. Classes would not exceed one hour per day. This would be a maximum of 2 hours per day for concurrent classes. This would also allow restarts for students who couldn't complete assignments for whatever reason and fell behind class or had to stop altogether for some reason.

That's about it. So how should I go about setting this up? What would be the best vehicle? Is it feasible or doable? Is this scalable up to several hundred or more members here? Could this really help out many would-be marketers here? What if anything am I missing here?

BTW the earnings would not be immediately in the thousands for new students. Most of the coaching affiliate programs are monthly residual checks of anywhere from $15 to $30 each month. They would make anywhere from $50 to $116 monthly from each student they enroll. It is recommended to have another product based business alongside the coaching services to provide long term monthly income.

uh oh sounds lots of work well you could start checking best affiliate programs , and i think its doable. Hardest part really is get the people come to you ( well maybe not if you know how)

So let me get this straight person will pay you for coaching on a monthly basis .

Nothing new ehre at BHW but the direction you are wanting to take it seems kinda new .

I am paying for the free trial period. Their pay will come from their students or customers. When the trial ends the coaching students will then pay monthly for the coaching but will have their own customers or students 'before' they pay.

I am just combining what some other companies have already done. Thanks for the feedback.

This actually sounds interesting, however, the other question is how can you alone coordinate all this with each student enrolling 3 others before the expiration of their studies.
One problem I envisage is how to have everyone in the class at the same time,especially if you have enrolling members from other parts of the world with different time zones. Or is it for US & Canada alone?

How would you "teach"? Would it be thru a document they receive everyday, im, email? How would you make sure that the new mentors fully teach their students and do not leave them for you to handle? Sounds interesting and I think that you could generate some interest here. Keep working at it!!!

Well I'm back and ready to go. The holidays kinda threw things off a little. I figured this week would be hectic. Thanks for the suggestions and inquiries.

I'll be posting the offer for the classes today. This will help with pre-registering folks before classes begin. Classes will begin Monday. The classes will be pre-recorded and the assignments will have deadlines. This is doable in any time zone or country.

Pre-registration will include setting up real time contact, lining up schedule availability and clarifying class expectations since the students do receive cash payments.

The contact times are based on the hours of availability or their preferred business operating hours. Real time communication is preferred for a dialogue between students and coaches. The dialogue will be focused on the results of their assignments. This actually estblishes accountability.

The students don't immediately become expert teachers after 5 days. They are only referring people to the training system. They can offer some simple assistance in the beginning but will be referring technical and marketing questions to others.

Each student will be learning but will also be actively promoting. The marketplace promotional activities are a part of their homework assignments.

As this grows larger the coaching will not be a few training thousands but hundreds of coaches training ten or twenty students each. This keeps things manageable, practical and doable. It's also not perfect because not everyone will always do quality work. That goes for teachers as well as students. But that also applies in any job or any industry.

Pre-registration and enrollments have begun. This will continue thru late Sunday or early Monday. I will be available for about another hour or so and won't be back until about 11 or 12 midnite tonight CST. That's about 8 hours from now in my time zone.
