Ok, I'm not looking to get flamed here or receive any type of non-informative sarcasm..so, with all due respect I would like some suggestions from you guys.

I am getting my tax refund soon, and after paying off two loans and medical bills, and setting some aside for my kids, I will have about $470 to invest in marketing.

What I want is to create a sustainable spiral of incoming capital so I can fund my projects and live comfortably.

Do any of you have suggestions on a stable investment that would make a return of at least 200%? I'm probably going to go ahead and spend $97 on TubeAutomator.

I have a few decent straight-money sites, so I suppose investing in traffic to these sites would be a good idea. Anyone know where to get fair-priced good-quality traffic? Should I just rely on PPC? (I'm very wary of PPC nowadays...)

I'm rambling, but pretty much what I'm asking for are any suggestions you might have.

PPC is the hands down winner once you master it, even if you start with a nominal sum of 5usd and double it in a month you'll beat any investments out there , sorry king, listen you can get opinions from everyone on which is the best way to go, so the best advice l can give you is not to listen to anyone too much because most of the advice will be baseless opinions not facts.

At least with PPC if you have a look at it, you can measure every single aspect and target and find out for certain what is and what is not working.

So put your money away and go read up on ppc its easy to learn you just have to take baby steps to each profit level whilst your testing.

I reccommend watching the pay per click formula videos, they teach you how to go after cpa offers and if they ppc campaigns are setup properly u can make a fast return of your $$. The videos are available for download on this forum.

$470? I would personally not go for youtube software that you could get on torrents for free. I try to avoid mainstream programs and buy things in forums witch are reputable.

Yes you can make a shitload of money with ppc. Check out ubberaffiliate.com 320k in azoogle for the month of january.

At the same there are many variables to ppc and I would recommend you buy some ppc courses and do as much research as you can.

Hope I was of some help.

I spent about $500 this week on AdWords and made $25. I will lose my account because I cannot pay this $500. They attempted to charge my card when my account hit $350, even though they had just charged me TWO DAYS earlier. It was denied, because I was counting on my weekly paying sponsor to pay before AdWords tried to charge. Unfortunately, having made only $25, I wouldn't have been able to pay it anyway. I have been with this sponsor for MANY years, and I know they would have paid in time, but I did not have a chance. The traffic was crap, even though I followed the methods I paid for very carefully. I used careful keyword research, I used negative terms like -free and -torrent, and I was careful to try to "steal" successful ads. I also made sure the quality score of the landing pages was very good. Still, I had over 3,000 clicks and only one sale.

I suggest you NOT use PPC until you are relatively certain you know what yo are doing. I have spent at least $500 on products by the "top marketers" with regards to PPC, and I still have not had any success. I am not a stupid person by any stretch of the imagination, but I just cannot get the hang of this PPC stuff. :(

If you do go the PPC route, be VERY careful. Do as nicho suggests and take BABY STEPS. It is very, very easy to lose EVERYTHING with PPC.

Alindria, that's exactly what I'm afraid of. :(
I see a lot of potential in PPC, but this is the only large amount of money I'm going to be able to spend on marketing for quite a while, and I don't want to throw it away.

I want to make a stable return so I can fund future projects...

    Anyone have any other suggestions?

Alindria, 3000 clicks and only 1 sale, that's just depressing :( I wonder what went wrong. I definitely would have stopped the campaign after 500 clicks or so.

Can you tell what you were promoting?

About 2/3 of my clicks were sent to adult sites that I know convert very well even on crappy traffic, and the remaining clicks were sent to CPL offers. The CPL offers were all through VOBucks. No conversions at all there.

With the amount of traffic that I sent from AdWords, I normally would have made at least $100 to $200, even off crappy TGP or even 404 traffic. I thought AdWords traffic was supposed to convert much better than other traffic, but that has not been my experience at all. I even set it to NOT display my ads on the content network, but ONLY on Google. (Last time I allowed ads on the content network, I was getting several hundred clicks per hour with no sales at all.)

I have a good friend who spent about $5,000 on her corporate credit card with AdWords and she made about $200. The sad thing was, she converted extremely well at first, so she left her campaigns alone for about two days, and when she came back the clicks had gone through the roof and she had lost about $4,800 with nothing to show for it. She was promoting brand names with the price CLEARLY stated in the ad. It's just plain bizarre. She was following the Day Job Killer method, I think.
