I'm a wholesaler/retailer locally of herbal incense. I've been wanting to expand online lately and I've not had any success with payment processing at all.

I started with paypal and they booted me within a few days. I thought of Amazon next and that didnt' even fly off the ground. Then I went to Alert pay and now they're not dealing with herbal merchants.

I've tried other reputable merchants but no success. I'm based out of MD and need a reliable merchant account provider. One that will work with 3rd party shopping carts would be nice.

If any of you have any experience help me out here.

Try merchantwarehouse. I use them for one of my businesses and they are great.

How would AlertPay even know if you're selling herbal incenses?

I think what you need is a high risk merchant account. High risk doesn't always equal high rates. Different banks look at different industries as high risk where other banks may deem your industry low-medium risk. What sort of volumes are you doing? We manage a number of herbal merchants.

No volume now online that is. I was just getting started with gaypal and alertpay before they said no dice.

My offline store Herbal is a small fraction of store sales, so maybe around $150/day there.

I only need online merchant account and I expect around $200/day starting and going up from there.

I need something with no contract, so I can walk away anytime, I'm okay with paying a slightly higher rate for that.

    Thanks for the input.
