I have these 2 domain names those are more than 13 years old. They belong to the medical / health niche and have keywords like 'drugstore' and 'genericpills' in their names.

I had registered these domain names in 2009 with the intention of setting up an online pharmacy site. During that period such sites were making huge money by selling products like Viagra pills, etc. I knew of a company that made literally millions with such websites that time.

However for some reasons I never created sites with them. All through these years I just kept renewing these domain names.

I want to ask you people what can be done with these domain names now in 2022 / 23 ?

Will it be legal / feasible to make such an online pharmacy site in todays times, especially after Google has many strict rules for such businesses?

Or shall I create informative blogs with them with pure informative articles?

Or shall I create an affiliate store for medical products with them?

Please give some serious suggestions as I want to do something with these domain names now.

Many thanks in advance guys!

I would go with the affiliate option since selling off the domain isn't part of the options you mentioned.

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, you are right. I did not mention that option but I am open to sell the domains too. But the question here is whether these domain hold any value in the eyes of Google (apart from their age) and not look spammy because of the words they contain?

Also if the keywords are fine then the business of online pharmacy or pharmacy affiliate will be a legit option?

I believe if these domains will have a working website then their value will be high for selling.

What do you think?

I doubt google cares about what wording is used inside a domain name, whether it looks spammy or not if it is a TLD
One of my friends included ‘Tiktok’ in his domain name and after a month he applied for Adsense and his site got approval.

Careful before doing anything- you should do your due diligence what is legal and unregulated does not mean ok- search "Legit Script dot com" they are tasked with and all over shutting any pill sites down, and are a 3rd party paid investigator and subcontractor for the feds. They can grab your domain away without any due process. Also, fwiw- I have seen hundreds of these pharma type names get dropped in the past 6 years.

A bit off-topic, but regarding if they hold any power:
- i bought a few domains with almost no backlink history but aged since 2009, and compared to fresh domains, the content does rank higher, faster and gets indexed way more. I'm talking about $10 domains, so imagine what some will do with BL profiles.
- i bought one in particular with a DR of 9 registered in 2010, a former tech guy who published some nice software. I paraphrased 6 articles in the tech niche from makeuseof dot come, and after 2 months all 5 articles are ranking right below them, #2-#4.

They do work wonders, but they are not (yet) worth a lot of money if sold purely for their domain age

Thanks for this valuable information. I was actually worried for this.

So, as a solution what do you think, if I do not create any shop but only run an informative blog with these 2 domains then should that be a problem too?

I just don't want to let them go away so easily since they are 13+ years old.

What do youthir
If you're getting rid of it then you don't worry about anything if the keyword itself embedded is worth something in the auction and at least get your 9yrs domain renewal fund back

If you have a domain name like DrugStore, go to facebook or instagram and search that name and look if there is any legit big business with the same name and offer them your domains for big $$

I don't really know what I would do if in your position. I don't know what a blog would do unless you are selling stuff. Finding a customer for it might be ok, if no TESS TM issues. To me there are (2) things that matter- the dot com/net/org name by itself and/or backlink profile. Unlike many here, I buy names for names simply for the names themselves. It's what $10 a year?, no rush to figure it out. Park it on a shared cPanel until you do.

How you monetize natural supplements you might look at some of these political websites- funny as it sounds- look at what Alex Jones wealth he gained from selling that stuff.
BTW read the other day Mark Cuban is selling generic drugs.
