I have subscribed to Wordtracker and have found them reliable and effective. The UI is simple. At its most basic level, you search a niche, and find how often related terms are searched, how many sites compete, its KEI, etc. You can keep 'digging' into particular phrases to find further variations. Sometimes, there are nice long tail terms with little competition. They are pricy but also have a free service (which I haven't used and can't recommend one way or another as a result). I haven't used the others but I'm sure another friendly member of BHW will drop by and give you their two cents ;) Best of luck.

I have used wordtracker for a number of years... it is a good choice.

I usually get my ducks in a row and then pay for one day and do all my research for multiple projects in 24 hour period. It is worth it.

Just remember to cut the numbers in half (IMO)... you need to take all this data with a block of salt. It also applies - you may look up searches or phrases and the results show zero searches for a phrase... DO NOT take this as Law and that nobody searches for that phrase - They can be wrong... I have searched phrases that convert great and yet my research said it was a zero search phrase.

I have played with keyword spy... but I am not unhappy with wordtracker.
