For a research I'm doing, I need someone to provide me with a list with a good number of open source software projects that will be of interest to gamers. Those can be found at sourceforge.net, github.com and others. How would I measure that interest? I think the best way would be to find if that application is similar to another promoted at Download.com, Softpedia.com and other important downloads sites. So basically what I need is a list with the link to the open source project and a similar example software in a downloads site with a big number of downloads (over 10 per day would be ideal). The software don't need to be just games. A good example is this one: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/Chris-PC-Game-Booster.shtml Also, if an open source project is not on at least one important downloads site and it has an important number of downloads per day on the open source directory, I will also like it included. Example, UltraStar Deluxe, a free karaoke program is not at Softpedia and it's very popular on SourceForge. The programming language of the app should be one of these: - C# - VB - C++ - Java - Python After this, I will need similar work for other categories.
