I'm working on building a travel website and I'm looking to get someone who can set up Joomla and configure it to my liking.
Basically I'd like it to be a site with the following attributes

    - The homepage should have a text section and then it should show different categories in one section (and then links to articles from there)
    - Then it should have "Recent articles" where recent articles randomly show up

Then for the content pages I'd like it to have the articles that I write, and then at the bottom I'd like to have a section that says "related articles" where the system shows links to related articles on the website.

Also, the site will need a design, however you can use a template if you'd like.

If you think that you would be able to do this, please send me a PM with
    - some of the sites that you've built
    - How much you will charge to build it

  2. PM sent, plz have a look at my portfolio... Thanks!

This is just a question for my own understanding, why do you want to use Joomla when Drupal and Wordpress have a much nicer backend (hence, easier to use) and allow to do things a lot easier.

Exactly what i was thinking. Wordpress and drupal are better choices especially when it comes to custom site layouts. Wordpress has many pre made templates to buy and with drupal you can go to freelance sites and get small jobs like yours done for cheap. Your design doesnt look too complicated, but before you hire someone i recommend searching pre made templates that fit your needs and maybe tweaking them yourself.

Interesting. I'm not sure why I thought that Joomla would be the best solution, I think I asked someone and they said something about it. I'm not familiar with Drupal, but if its a better solution to this, then it would probably work just as well if not better.

In that case, I'm looking for someone to build me a site (as described) above using Drupal.
