Need some suggestions for monetizing my site

So I've been working pretty hard on this site for the past few weeks and I'm just about done all the preliminary stuff. I've been putting up a few ads on the site, but have had no success with making money from the visitors. I figured after a few weeks of nothing really coming in, I would seek out some advice.
