Ok so i need some new headphones (Not earphones) so i can listen to music in peace whilst i'm working.

I have around $80 (£50) to spend so i should get a decent pair for that.

Before you say why dont i just get beats , I have them on my cd deck setup.

    Thanks !

EDIT: I like sennheisers. I have a pair here somewhere but i cant find them hence why i need a new pair :(

The beats suck. Get sony 7506 for that price or if you have some more money get the best headphones out there - audio technica ath 50. maybe even akg 240.

I love my Tritton AX Pro's, but they are a bit out of your price range. Logitech makes a good headset, as does Plantronics. Both for around $100.

The mic is detachable, and the sound is effing amazing. Sounds like I'm sitting in a theatre. Can't beat true 8 speaker surround sound.

    Yep .

I've had virtual 5.1 before and its terrible.

Another good top of the range 5.1 headset is the Astro A40's.

    Good for gaming also :)

Well Goldring DR150 headphones are very very hard to beat considering their only £50.

I myself Have BeyerDynamic DT 770 pros myself which are of course out of your budget but man do they punch way above their weight!

    Head over to http://www.head-fi.org/

You'll find all the answers you need there.

Just remember if you get a headset with a High OHM rating then you will need a pre-amp or a powerful amp to drive them.

Good luck. There is nothing better revisiting your favorite tracks and hearing bits you never heard previously.

That would be nice, however i'm afraid it won't help me a bit and it's exactly because of heavy usage of headphones/earphones + concerts/clubs if you know what i'm talking about. :)

slowly but surely i'm drifting towards deafness

A Technology section and maybe even a sports section within the Lounge section would really seal the visiting (barr my own) of any other website for me

Loads of common interests shared by members here but just not shared on here.
