Hi - I am a total noob so please bear with me. I have what I think is a great idea for niche site but no way to monitize the main MOBILE "product". The content, I can go with ad placement. I want to charge users a small fee to view essentially a slideshow or series of images online. The slideshow would have to be able to be controlled by the user and not any sort of animated file. Best solution is to create an android app. I have scoured the Internets and found no program, certainly no DnD program that I can utilize. Two websites come close, bookbake being the cheapest solution. It is though a PDF to Android app conversion. In addition, I have other huge reservations whether it can do the trick. The pricing is also muddy and vague. It seems to retain huge amounts of control over the production. So, #1 preference is an app. Next is the slideshow that can be downloaded, but not shared. The market is limited for this product (seriously, very). Last, would be shared online images which I can control the user and log unique mobile? The two must match. The issue with this is the user may be in a low signal/slow/no signal area so the slideshow on the mobile is best option. I have also thought about low tech solution at least for payment. Link out to PP, email generated to me, provide the product. But the last thing Id want to do is email them the large file. Makes it that much easier to forward to a friend(s). Finally, a sort of paywall might work but I am worried ssl + overhead just make the browsing that much slower. It would be possible to have them dl in a high bandwidth area. Opera Mini (others) has a saved page feature that might save the page (100 images?) in order. I am not concerned abiut the cache so much. Photos would be jumbled and named not by # but by name. I want this project to go forward, but its stuck. Much do to my lack of knowledge on so many technical levels. Thanks. PS I had also thought of making 100 pages and placing ads at top or bottom. These would be pay per click ads as I think the ppv $ would ne minimal. Here, its a bit dicey as I the desire is for the person while scrolling and clicking fwd > > that they accidently click the ad. This though will send them off to the website and they will not be pleased, especially as there is no way back (back arrow may not work?). The situation might be aggravated as the individual would be following steps and most likely would not be happy. Hey...its free bitc*es!
