Need some help regarding competition analysis

    I stumpled upon a pretty decent keyword -> an exact EMD with the net and org domain available - around 1500 exact searches with a really good CPC and I would optimize for perfect onpage SEO aswell.

    Now, let me just say, that I know how to rank #1 for low comp. search terms, but in this case i'm not exactly sure/certain how to assess the Top10, as i never dealt with so many big authority sites at once.

    There is no exact match domain and only two inner pages of some site that rank at #4 and #8. The rest are just huge/big authority sites with thousands of backlinks, but no onpage SEO whatsoever for that keyword.

    So, what do you say? Is it possible to gain the #1 spot with some quality backlinks, perfect onepage SEO+EMD? Maybe someone has some experience regarding this situation?

    Hi mate! my advice is this- don't be afraid of competition! even if someone ranks for a kw with the good work of the righ on page SEO and some high pr pages backlinks you CAN rank higher than you competitors. Here is a note for everyone in here- CONTENT IS KING
