Right, I just read a post about causes of google de-listing blogs, and one of the causes was the link underneath posts, that says "caffinated content". I read on how to remove these links from the files (i.e links1 and links2), and i did that, but the links are still showing on my site. I got about 900 posts, is there any way to solve this without having to rebuild the blog ?

you probably deleted the wrong links files, you most lilely have multiple versions of CC, go through all your indexes and search for BOTH folders and files named links

the only ones showing up, are here:
    /public_html/wp-content/plugins/CaffeinatedContentManagement_v.335_NiceScripts.net/links
I deleted the text inside both files, but left the files there.
Also, uploaded the plugin via my wp blog, as opposed to my server file manager. Does this make any difference ?

do it via the server file manager, there is a solution to it, and yea there is a way to fix it, make sure to check your links files, it'll be easier in FTP

    wp-content-->plugins-->links, delete those files

    or

    wp-content-->plugins-->caffcontent--> then delete links

I deleted the link.txt and link 2.txt in the link folder (wp-content-->plugins-->caffeinated content). I don't need to delete the empty folder too do I ?

I'm still getting the links on the bottom of the posts.

Lemme make sure I got this right:

what I got to do is delete the two files from the link folder, and that's it ?

Here is the fix for the links at the bottom of the posts...

You have to go to the templates file and delete the [link] code at the bottom of each template that you use.

for example defaultp is for the default post template
for example defaultc is for the default comment template

germanp is for the default post template
germanc is for the default comment template...

    You get the idea.

just delete the [link] code and nothing else or your posts will not stay formatted.

    or even better....

the links1.txt and links.txt files are GOOD for you... in these files put your keyword and link you want the keyword to link to... just follow the example in the links1.txt file it looks something like this...

    Code:
    keyword|http://www.yoursite.com
once you have the keyword and links you want in the text file check the box in your CC settings that say... add links to comment authors name.

and select links1.text or links2.text which ever file you put your keyword and links in.

hope that makes sense it works wonderfully for me.

    Seriously

Did this remove the links (or update) on all the content already posted by cc ?

all the posts that are already up will stay the same... only works for newly pulled content.

    Seriously

that's the problem. I got about 900 posts up there already, with the links underneath the posts :(

Is there any way for me to delete just the posts added by cc ? (and not the others ?)

I just found out there was a way for me to remove only the cc posts, and I just f* upped by pressing the wrong button and clearing the history and now I can't delete only the cc posts, damn !

BTW, if any of you guys ever ends up in a similar situation, in your wp admin, go to:cc management, cc history, and manually check all the posts you want to delete. DO NOT click clear history (thinking that it will delete all the posts, coz it won't).

I couldn't find a way to select all the cc posts automagically, and I clicked on clear history.

If you just wanna get rid of all the blog posts, you can get hold of a plugin called Mass post manager

silly question. but did you pull your articles/answers down again after removing the links files?

Changing the links files will only affect newly pulled posts.

I've got another problem now. Since last night, every time (well pretty much every time) I run cc, I get the following error after a few minutes:

"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1865745 bytes) in
    /home/my directory/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 429"

    It's really pi$$ing me off.
