    Hey guys,
I wanted to ask for your opinions on this matter.
Started doing SEO for a client in February-March 2013 - rankings went up, all was good - site was getting 3500-5000 impressions per day (was not a dot com,but ccTLD).

    Screenshot.jpg

As you can see, impressions dropped, then after a disavow add rankings went up again (not so good as the first time but still ok), and now it went back down again.
Main keyword was used on the homepage and is not ranking anymore, i have used tiered linkbuilding, social bookmarks, articles postings with web2.0 being tier 1.

Any opinion on this is appreciated.
    Cheers

Thanks for the reply, but I can't possibly think it is a Google dance since that usually takes from days to a couple of weeks tops. It's been almost one month now and the homepage isnt ranking at all.

Thousands of sites that were ranking well have tanked since October 4th

I'd say you've been slapped by penguin 2.1

Take a look at your anchors and start using longer tails as anchors if you are not doing this already...not sure about the tiered stuff these days either - for our client sites that are ranking well we use mainly private blogs, with some social signals and manual posts/bookmarks on just the older and more authority sites like Newsvine, and a few high PR blog comments thrown into the mix every week

We don't bother with the rest anymore. I acually think its easier now

I already started link clean-up, with contacting and removing directory and low PA/DA links or any high OBL pages.
Thanks a lot for your reply, I tend to think it's penguin as well although the linkbuilding was stopped for a while (2 months prior the update).

Looking forward to more opinions guys.
