    Hello everyone,

I needed some advice from some of the experts here in this forum.

I am a SEO and I am working in this field since many years now. Most of the times I have had projects for me to work on that is why I never tried affiliate or anything like own business. I have always relied on clients. Now after some good years of hard labor I started a company of my own. I have Web Design, development and SEO clients, but now I want to expand it. It is a very small office that I have set up currently, but I want to make it big. I will set up a set of callers for leads but where I am stuck is.... WHOM WILL THE CALLERS CALL? WHERE WILL I GET THE NUMBERS FROM? AND HOW WILL I KNOW IF HE OR SHE NEEDS OUR SERVICES. Please guys help me out with this. Eagerly waiting for some suggestions.

Most important thing you should worry about is how much SEO do the callers know. My experience working with sales reps is that if they don't know SEO they'll never sell it, or, they'll sell it on the clients terms (fast results expected, cheap, 100% guaranteed) and that will not end well.

My recommendation is that your callers should really know SEO (theoretically at least) to properly sell this service and to give clients real expectations.

In order to promote you should:

    1) Attract clients to your website via SEO and PPC (I know that SEO for "seo services" or "seo optimization" is bonkers regarding costs and time to get to the first page but there are a lot of longtails you could target, make a smart campaign). PPC and some remarketing should be a must. Banner campaigns could be an extra but I found them not really helpful (and costly for the ROI they provide).

    2) Be proactive and chase clients. Do this by the cold call method with a twist (the method has been shared here some while ago but I can't find the link). It goes like this:
    a) Find potential clients who pay a lot of money to be listed on expensive classifieds sites and make a list
    b) Find the potential clients who have a website and who don't own websites and who do and make 2 lists
    c) From the potential clients who DO own websites break the list in 2 categories (those who have their sites ranking for their main terms and those who don't)
    d) Sell webdesign + seo for the potential clients who don't have sites (by presenting them the advantages and cost reductions of having their own site + seo rankings vs paying a ton of money for some classified site)
    e) Sell SEO + website maintenance for the potential clients who have sites but are not SEO optimized (by presenting them the advantages and cost reductions of having their own team for site maintenance + seo rankings vs paying a ton of money for some classified site and maintaining their sites themselves).

Take note that the clients who find you first will more likely convert than the clients you chase after but the make or break would always be in the hands of the Sales Reps. If they don't know SEO, you're in big trouble for the future.

Hope this helps (I'm speaking from personal experience here).

Thank you so much for the valuable time you gave me. The callers that I am hiring are not SEO specialist but they will be given 15 days of SEO training so that they know the advantages and can convince the clients.

Instead of having telesales agent phoning out, why don't you have them close phone leads?

I am talking about Pay Per Call. Its like CPA, but you only pay when you get call and they stay on the line with your agents/closers for like 90 sec.
