Need some advice regarding buying domain or not

i need some advice of you guys - I am in the middle of building some kind of influencer wiki and already published and indexed around 60 articles of persons on a brand new domain. Haven't build any links by now and so obviously i'm not ranking shit yet.

Now i saw a good domain with with good DR (around 20) and backlink profile for a reasonable price to sell. The topic of this site was mostly not directly like the influencer biographys im doing right now but is somehow related as in the social media niche. To be more specific it was a follower and like selling site so a lot of anchor texts are like "How to buy instagram followers" etc.

Would you say i should go for it or its not topic related enough? And if yes how to proceed? doing 301 redirection to my new domain or changing my domain to this one, as the domain name would also fit with my project (nothing like buy-instagram-followers.com or so but more generic)?

the niches don't look awfully dissimilar to me, so I think you're good in that regard... And since the domain already has good DR and backlinks, just use it as a money site, no need to 301 redirect it. That's what I would do at least...

The anchor text issue might be an important one, though because if you rely on those anchors alone you're going to rank for unrelated / only-slightly-related to your current niche keywords and this might hurt your CTR and user engagement, which will subsequently hurt your rankings.

If there are only a handful of exact-match anchors and you can dilute them with more brand / naked URL / generic anchors then you might be able to get away with ranking for the right keywords before google figures out what's wrong, but I wouldn't bet on it.

What I'm trying to say is that this is not your main and / or most important site just take risks and use it as money site and then dilute its anchor texts with the right anchors, and hope that google will buy into your tricks, otherwise... I don't know, maybe wait for other opinions?

Yeah this project should rather become an authority instead of money site so i might not take the risk But waiting for other opinions as well

Stay away mate. This is a pure spam domain, blasted with shitty links. There are thousands like these available everywhere. Not worth the bother.

You will have very hard time finding any clean domain within the "social network" niche.

Former personal blogs in "arts" niche oir whatever niche your influencer was promoiting are a better idea.
