Looking for VPS hosting reviews (or any kind of hosting reviews for that matter) is so exhausting...for anybody who thinks that spamming/SEO is dead, just look at this niche...it's nearly as bad as the payday loan niche.

If I find one more site posting "legit review" that simply shows the top five hosts as all being hosts from within the EIG group I'm going to through my computer out the window.

I've been using a VPS from bluehost and I cannot take the downtime anymore...it's ruining my business & reputation. They (and every host within the EIG group) have been going down so often lately it's as if they're trying to go out of business. The list of EIG hosts that I refuse to be a part of can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endurance_International_Group - hostgator, bluehost, justhost, dreamhost, etc, etc, are all on that list...and they're all awful. I would have moved a long time ago, but it's such a royal PIA to do I have been coming up with excuses to not do it...but at this point it's unavoidable...I have to do it.

I need suggestions for a solid MANAGED VPS hosting provider...uptime being the number one priority...so please don't make suggestions if you don't have personal experience.

Ideally I'm looking for 3 or 3+ gb RAM, 4 or 4+ CPU cores and good customer support.

No offense to anybody here on BHW, but I'm looking for companies that have been around a while and have a business that "stands on it's own" and not a newer company that is currently getting all of it's business from forum sales threads.

I'm using LiquidWeb for a while now. Ever since hostgator was sold.

    So far, so good. :)

Thats really weird. I am using Bluehost and havent noticed that much down time. The worst I had was on New years Day or close to it and it was for a couple hours world wide. I mean yeah that sucks but other than that no issues. Sorry to here about your luck.

I've tried three vps providers and all of them sucked... laggy as f**k, downtimes all the time forcing me to restart my automated software (irony anyone?), and laughable answers to my problems (change your settings, it's not our hardwares fault). I eventually gave up and now rent out a small office which has a very good internet connection and a bunch of desktops.

I have used Servint for years (have a few servers with them) and rarely have any issues. I'm not much of a server guy so not sure if they will meet all your requirements but have generally found their servers to be a decent and support responsive.

Is that an attempted affiliate link for an EIG host I see you TRYING to promote.
Either you cannot read or you are extremely dopey. You damn sure cannot write nor link your affiliate link properly and I doubt you make any money lol

i have used knowhost and future hosting, both are good, but since i don't know your budget, it's hard to recommend those(higher priced services)

Check out Stablebox - their parent company has been around for over a decade and I have so far not had any issues with them.

Thanks for all your suggestions guys, I appreciate it.

I ended up going with KnownHost after what felt like ages researching and reading through forum threads.

It looks like you've picked one, but FYI I've got my main moneymakers on Synthesis VPS hosting. It's owned by Copyblogger, they're fully managed, feature-packed, and very fast. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

    Best,

Not sure why it takes up to 93.97s their official site to load in full, according to Gtmetrix

    Code:

I'm currently running some bots on Windows Azure's free trial and I'm more than happy.
