hi everyone, i just got a seo job offer from this site:

    dealextreme dot com

i know how to rank a medium site with grey hat: self hosting link building, web2.0, article marketing etc...but for i don't have any experience to do extra traffic enhance work with such a large site, the only thing i consider is do more social marketing work, but i even don't whether it make sense or not to do some seo job on this site.

cmon guys, give some advice pls

What is your budget? The simplest and most commonly followed method is going for paid blog posts from big authority sites. as far as other tips, I don't think the experts around here will share their secret recipes.

They definitely have budget. A HUGE budget I'd say - they bought dx.com. Knowing how much 2-letter .com would cost, I'm sure they have the money.

Rule number one. Never share your client's site in a public forum.

For a big authority site I would suggest your biggest bang for the buck is going to be some onsite work (assuming you can work with their developers):
    dynamic page generation
    content mashup type pages
make sure the link juice is flowing down to the deeper pages
    Internal linking anchor text etc

Otherwise, take advantage of the domain trust and hammer it with diverse link types and anchor text at all levels, masked with some lovely social signals of course ;)

no..they have a formula for sure, but I think what they do is not like many people here do: build blog, blog comment, web2.0 and sb xrumer stuff, most backlinks are made by visitor theirselves, i just want a discussion here for the topic: how to maintain a large site and do some extra seo work, maybe you can post your personal opinion here even you are not a guru, and this site is just for example.

I wouldn't leave the url in your post....I bet they have now been contacted by many other SEO people to offer their service. You may need to do some damage control if you plan on keeping that deal...

OP you're a genius. The experts you wanted advice from might have already contacted the website with their offers, and maybe even linked them to this thread to make you look like the noob you are.

maybe you misunderstood and sorry for my bad english, I meant i am going to get a 9-5 job at this company(i got a interview from them), maybe I will be an employee in this company or not. Due to I haven't experience as a seoer work in a large site(I just learned seo here for 1 year and ranked some small ecommerce sites.)I am afraid that I will have bad performance in interview the next week, so they are not my client.

so i just come here to discuss large site seo, and maybe i can get some information for helping me get the job(because i always learn seo knowledge here), if what i post here offended you, i apologize and sorry for taking ur time.

at least that sounds a bit more believable ;)

As for advice; the most/best work when dealing with huge sites is mostly on-site (structure, duplicate content challenges, content, etc. etc. etc. ) and a bit off-site mostly to fix problems you can't fix on-site.
