Ok, so it seems all the big boys in this forum are doing CPA
and doing well with it too. (I'm looking at you Nevarc and
    Havok
    ) I WANT A PIECE OF THE PIE!:D

I want to get into this and was hoping someone could point
me in the right direction....maybe recommend some good
programs and guides. I signed up for COPEAC last night and
hopefully I'll get accepted. Much appreciated.

If you're considering PPC like Havok said, also check out Google trends http://www.google.com/trends.

It wasn't huge money, but I did test it, and you can definitely cash in on the cheap clicks as no one else has an ad running.

    Quick example.

About 2 months ago John Daly (pro golfer) was in the news again, I think he was getting divorced from his wife or something.

Anyway this guy is always in some trouble and that's why people love to read stories about him, especially millions of golf fans.

So I Googled him, and as I expected, No ads running. I quickly grabbed a cool golf offer (By the way, I personally keep links to about 1200 affiliate programs and CPA offers at all times, this helps me grab a live link to just about any type of product whenever I want to test a fast promotion)

I threw up an ad, I think it was something like:

    Drive like John Daly
    Just don't marry a crazy
    woman. Results Guaranteed.

It was something like that, and it linked to a swing training product that I made $22 bucks on.

I ran the ad for three days while the searches were huge and made about $2800 for spending about $85.00 I think.

That was a good one, and in most cases I was making a few hundred bucks for every $10 to $30 I was spending by writing catchy ads and linking to a relevant ad.

If you are just starting out, playing the trends game is a cheaper way to get some results and scale up from there.

but the thing is.. it's hard to get cheap clicks :(....

yeah, Current event is one of the best ways to do cpa,, :)

    nice guide neva!

btw, do you do any blackhat + cpa methods? and also,

how do you harvest keywords from current event?

Basically what I do is, make certain set of keywords (that I think the user will search on) Quick example:

Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair Photo Shoot
    Miley Cyrus Pictures
    Miley Cyrus Picture
    Miley Cyrus Photo
    Miley Cyrus Photos

and I mix them with speed PPC (you can get it in the members downloads)

What I use to mix it with are: (for celebrities)

    celebrity gossip sites like:

    tmz.com
    perezhilton.com
(and alot more just search google)

Now these are for celebrities, its different for each "type" of poll you run, i've tested quite a few and some work, some don't but i'm still in the process of really hitting homeruns. Plus it also helps that you use a google report to see which sites convert and which sites are trash so you can block them out.

The method I learned at another site is to bid a bit high for these things (around .40-.70 per kw) and let it run and determine the sites that are useful for you in just a few days.

It works fine for me and then I lower my bid, slowly.

Hope you learned something from this :)

    All the best,

    catz

woot, thx for all the tips. I'm already cooking up a couple ideas in my head.

Can someone recommend a good zip submit program to join? I think these
would be the easiest to convert since it doesn't require anything too personal.

The advice in this thread is certified GOLD.

You know what people say, that human forgets easily....

I used to market in current trends but got distracted with other stuff and now I just can't believe I did not remember to use it in my CPA offers.

Need to get a notebook soon :D

Ok, initial test is a failure. I tweaked havok's method to make it my own and tried it out.
Got over 1000 impressions, about 200 clicks but only 4 leads. Made $4. Lol. Part of the
problem was the offer I was promoting (freegiftcards). On the surface, it claimed to be a
zip submit offer but I knew there was NO WAY I only got 4 people to enter their ZIP CODE.
I went back and carefully checked the campaign description and sure enough, it required
the full name, email and home address. That sucked. I couldn't find any real offers that
pays on just zip submit on COPEAC. I tested out several email submit offers but none of
them are converting. I'm waiting on a reply from CPAEmpire. Hopefully, they'll have better
    offers.

If you have suggestions on good zip submit offers, please share.

Sometime, it is not the offer that is the problem but the market that you targeted.

Internet savvy market would probably shy away from these offers.

Dang, CPAEmpire rejected my application. Wasn't expecting that at all.
I signed up under Ruck from cashtactics and even took the initiative to
    contact them first. Bummer.

Try giving them a call? Usually that's all it takes, even if you've been rejected.

Actually Nevarc I have a quick question about your John Daly example (if you don't mind).

Did you direct link from your adwords ad or did you do a redirect/iframe? Or did you throw up a landing page?

How do you iframe directly from adwords? Do you setup a fake LP first, then after your ad is approved then switch to iframe?

Since it is against Google's TOS, I can't get my ads approved if I already have a page setup that's iframed.
