recently (this last week or so) i have certain software (custom created) that suddenly dont work anymore....
i have .net framework 2.0 sp2 installed and lower verions
ie 7 as they use the internet sometimes
bv6 runtime files i have re-installed
but still nothing i really dont understand whats wrong... i tried system restore and it fixed it for a small while but now nothing again :(

please help me fix this asap so i can continue to use the programs (they are not your typical programs etc but work on every other persons pc who has them)

im running windows xp pro ps2 :)

Seek help from the creator of the program, unless you're willing to offer your software so that members can troubleshoot, I think nobody can help you with little details.

urrrrm its 3 programs..... so its not the programs its my pc and they work on everyone elses pc just not mine and they did work

Did you limit that software's setting using anti virus?

Check your anti virus/internet security software settings.

no firewall and no antivirus already tried them ones :)

Hey try to change your system time to some previous month.

system restore i already tried.... set it back way back and worked for like 10 mins then nought... this might help someone to work out whats wrong?

Nop, I edited my post

YOu can see the time in your desktop right bottom.
Double clik it, then change the month to november and try it.

If its still not working restart and try it.
If the problem is something with activation period or something, it will work.

I used to use some antivirus software like this before.

Maybe you installed an update for some other software or for Windows, and that's causing your problem? If that's the case, find out which update you did and ignore that update.

Another way to come a bit closer to the cause is to restore your pc again, but don't connect it to the internet during this process and during the first tests of your software. If the software keeps working after 10 minutes, 1 hour, a day,... reconnect your pc back to the internet, and test again. When the sofware stops working after connecting to the internet, you can narrow your search for the cause.

I'm not an IT-specialist, but I hope I helped you a little bit.

twinkle88 - tried that and it seemed like it was gonna work but then bam nothing :( (got my hopes up too much then).

george3000 - the software needs to connect to the internet to work (all 3 of them)....i dont install windows updates and the system restore dont show any installed things but i could be wrong....

anyone else got any other ideas?? maybe delete the system32 folder lmfao

You said that the sofware needs to be connected to the internet, and that it does work on other pc's. I don't know what software you are talking about because it is custom software, but maybe it has something to do with your ISP who doesn't allow the use of that kind of software?? Or the "things/websites/companies" you are using it for had banned your IP??

nope not that either george.....

okay new question who knows how to crack windows xp home sp2 too lol as got my other pc that i want to run these programs on eventually so thought i would give it a try and see if i can get em to work there anyhow...

oh and that pc has no internet so im going to try and make a fake wireless dongle if i can (saw it on a video once so gonna try it lol)

Just get an ISO online of the disc. for Windows XP SP2. and install it, from a .torrent file.

something like isohunt.com or thepiratebay.org

One last thing that pops into my mind: Did you try resetting your router?

No idea on how to crack XP sp2, that's the only licensed software on my pc :D
