Need some input guys. I've got a plugin that has recently been released (for sale on another forum..but let's stay within the boundaries here..) that basically lets you do keyword rank tracking against any number of sites, uses proxies, integrates with proxy goblin, etc. It's a pretty hard core plugin that will definitely replace any number of monthly fee keyword tracking websites..

But I've got another functionality coming into the plugin that I want some feedback on. Per project, per client, per website you want to track, you can have linkdump groupings (article backlinks, wiki backlinks, directory backlinks) that you can upload links into and the plugin will track against google what is indexed and what isn't. Pretty nifty, right?

What ELSE can I do with this functionality? I could go the route of pinging those unindexed backlinks periodically, but really ,is there anything that I could automate to help get those backlinks indexed? I'm ok with just showing whether they're indexed or not..but I want to see what else i can do to help get them indexed too.

What do you think? Backend link submitter? Rss submitter?

How about hooking it up to the linklicious API? It would require a pro account but would take the least ammount of effort. And/or do social bookmarks to the links through the ping.fm or similar.

Oh, good call. Didn't even think of a 3rd party "backlink booster"! But let me go one step further..how good are these backlink booster programs? As you can see below..

I've already got the index check thing down, so I know a bunch of these programs will check for you. Do they really help in getting urls indexed? I could just put a daily pinging algorhythm in and check on indexing nightly..but somehow i think just pinging urls anymore isn't the way to go..

That's the million dollar question I guess, never used them myself. If you can code rolling your own with some RSS feeds, bookmarks and pinging probably wouldn't be super difficult anyway.
